Still like it a lot, just haven't been able to steal the time to play lately.

I usually get on once or twice a week. I've also been beta testing Tabula Rasa, which has a similar feel in a mmopve world. So it scratches the same itch. I also found a group of players that seem like a good, casual bunch. I just joined, so I haven't played with them too much, but seems like a good way to find regular peeps. I'd be up for setting a regularish time and hopping on a chat server.

My son and my work buddy play all the time. I play a few nights a week when I get a chance. Been on vacation and loaded with work lately so I haven't played ina few weeks. I would love to get something together. Even make up our own clan or something but I haven't found the information on how to create one with out hosting a server.

I wasn't able to have a stable game for BF2192 since I changed PCs. Will try someday, I guess

I tried Tabula Rasa and didn't care for it at all.

I can't really comment on it, but it is still early in testing.
From the web site:
Fast paced action is a welcome change from the typical mmo.

Cool. I might pick it up after payday. Made some memory upgrades and want a decent shooter.

How does BF2142 compare to 1942 and BF2? I was really big into 1942 back in the day. I played with a clan on TS. That was TONS of fun. BF2 was really fun with a clan too. I would probably pick it up if you guys decide to form a regular meetup. The single greatest moment I ever had on BF2 was when me and my friend spent a couple hours trying to catch screenshots of each other while skydiving (aka jumping out of planes to our deaths) I installed system shock 2, but I didn't like it much. The zombies respawn way too fast. I like to clear an area and explore before I move on. That kinda killed it for me. Also, it was a pain to get running on XP.

I beta tested it, and it was a lot of fun. The Titan mode can be a lot of fun with a decent group. It still had a TON of bugs back then, but hopefully they have finally gotten to a lot of them. I will probably pick it up by the weekend. I would be up for getting together as a group.

I'm enjoying it. Pretty much the same as 1942 without the ships. Tanks, fast jeeps, helo-like things are the norm. Ground troops seem more effective than in 1942 vs armor, and the extras are very well done. You can customize your kit, advance in ranks, and you can form squads easily for more coordinated attacks. Also, the leaders can designate squads to attack or defend, and you get points for doing what you are told. Defending gives rewards (unlike in 1942).
Voice is built in, but I think it is only in your squad.
