I use the old WoW Teamspeak server I use to play on. It is so much better than the ingame chat. You can download the demo and give it a try. You will be limite don maps and you can't upgrade your character but might save you 30 to 40 bucks if you don't care for it.

cool.
I'm DLing the demo now.
I just thought of a really good shooter Ab. If you DL the unreal tournament 2004 demo, play the "instagib" game. Its one-hit kills only with the lazer gun. Don't bother buying the game. The best maps are on the demo. I had a lot of fun with that.

Ok, picked it up for cheap this morning. I will install it tonight. In the demo it appears that I finally can get my mic working in game. I never could in beta.
I also downloaded the BF2 demo, god I love that game. I have it for the 360 (which is a watered down version).

What classes ya'll play? I used to like the assault one, thinking about staying with that.
Am I correct that this game really is made for you to stick with one type? Meaning your experience only relates to that one character?

There are some generic unlocks you can get that apply to all classes (and these are pretty useful), but most of the unlocks are class specific.
Most of the time I play Assault w/Defibulator & Rockets
On Titan maps I almost always start out as an Engineer, or rarely, Recon, and then switch to Assault when the shields go down.
I don't think that sticking to one class or the other is as important as joining a squad. Get in one ASAP. If they are idiots...leave and join another one. Squads = points = unlocks

I play support usually. All my unlocks are in that. Seemed useful to open one up before toying with other kits.

I am Support and Assault specced now and working on Recon. I like Support the most with Assault as a close second.

I think I'm going to have to wait on my new PC to play this one. Its just too laggy to enjoy. Ugh, why does EA insist upon the most laggy and horrible menu system. Judging from the beta, I think I like BF2 better. That game was just so much fun. I'll hold off judgment until I can play it on full settings with some decent frames. (hopefully by the end of the month)

I had fun with the lowest settings before I got my new card. I like the pacing and flow of battle better than Vietnam. It is like 1942 without all the planes and boats. A few gunships, but no air to air combat. In some ways I miss that, but usually you had so many tards in the air, I don't miss it.
So, not as good for coordinated team play, but better for pub play.
