I just got a Samsung 19" widescreen LCD monitor. Its AWESOME! I got the model with 2ms response time. Its supposed to be better for gaming. So far, I recommend the Samsung. It has a bunch of neat auto-adjustment stuff. It will auto-adjust contrast depending on what you are doing. www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16824001094Widescreen is necessary in my life now. Everything is so much more open and spacious feeling. I'm no longer confined in that 4:3 cage. I'm going to get out some of my old games that support widescreen. You can actually see more of the game because of the greater peripheral vision. (20% more viewable area) Its amazing! Get one!

Samsung makes most of the actual panels, and my old lcd was from them. Good quality. Now I have a Dell 20" widescreen (upgrade special when I recently bough). I love it.

I'm waiting as long as I can...my father got a 22" screen and it's starting to look small...maybe 24 or 26 inch prices will go down soon. Ssark has a 30 or 32 inch LCD screen...now that thing is massive! The guy has to have headaches or neck aches from scanning the screen while he plays WoW.

My old roommate used to play WoW on his 52" HDTV. Getting that thing set up was a pain, but totally worth it.

I just purchased a new system from Dell a couple days ago after the motherboard in my old one passed away. It comes complete with a 22 inch E228WFP Widescreen Digital Flat Panel. I was kinda wondering what the advantages if any the Digital Flat Panel would have over the others when gaming. Not the best system u can buy but its the best in my budget. My new system looks like this; PROCESSOR Intel® Core™ 2 E6320 Duo Processor(4MB L2 cache,1.86GHz,1066FSB) MEMORY 2GB Dual Channel DDR2 SDRAM at 667MHz - 2 DIMMs HARD DRIVE 320GB Serial ATA 3Gb/s Hard Drive (7200RPM) w/DataBurst Cache™ SOUND CARD Integrated Sound Blaster®Audigy™ HD Software Edition GRAPHICS CARD 256MB nVidia GeForce 8600 GTS MONITOR 22 inch E228WFP Widescreen Digital Flat Panel I'm pretty excited for this, since my old system was like 8 years old. Its just strange it "accidently" broke not long before WAR is due to release, hmmm, very strange.

supposed to be better if you have digital out on the graphics card and digital in on the monitor. (the cable with the white plugs.)

Hmmm.. so after owning this thing for a few days, I'm not sure I would recommend the Samsung anymore. I spend a long time yesterday trying to get the colors calibrated right. Oddly enough the one color that stood out the worst was the CoT forums. Instead of being the lovely shades of beige, it was shades of pink. I've finally gotten it calibrated where it looks nice, but it wasn't fun. Also, the base was mounted to the monitor slightly crooked. It was an easy fix with a screw driver. My only other complaint is that the colors are not uniform all the way across the screen. From what I've read, this is just one of the drawbacks to these type of panels. Other than that, Its still a nice panel. I'm just really picky about stuff.
