Fan Friday for SWTOR has passed again and more cool info is out! All tentative specialization paths for the classes in SWTOR have been revealed. They are subject to change, but at least we now have a better idea of the available options for those classes. Which class and specialization will you pick? I don't know anymore! So you will openly forego your gatling-laser for those tanky energy shields? You notice that the Vanguard does not get grenades or heavy weapons. Only your shields and puny blaster rifle. I look forward to your lack of DPS Or, in the case of going with the heavy weapons, your apparent lack of the previously mentioned energy shields.

Nah, I'll do whatever Slurms decides *not* to do, for the sake of variety in the group, because honestly I'd be more than happy to do either.

True, I am actually pleasantly surprised that there will be a stealth/DPS aspect to the Jedi Consular/Sith Inquisitor. I was expecting them to only be casters.
Also, the fact that the respective mirrors seem to cancel each other out in battle rather than own the same abilities is one of my favorite aspects of the Star Wars theme.

*Gets a wicked smile on his face as he revs up his heavy blaster cannon, conveniently aimed at Pazz*

*A widening, menacing smirk shows on his face as arcs of electricity growing in intensity obscure his off-hand, as if forming a glove of lightning*
So, remember that energy shield you were counting on having in order to protect yourself?

*Boldly standing next to Slurms, yelling his famous warcry "NOT AFRAID OF ANYTHING, BRAH!" Rer unleashes a maelstrom of laser-fire, taunting the puny Sith-Spawn as his electrical attack is absorbed by Republic-ingenuity.*
Gonna go out on a limb and guess the Shield will attract Force-Lighting from other targets, otherwise it wouldn't make much sense in a PvP-environment. If you wanna call my bluff, I understand, but I do have a strong feeling this will be the case.**
**As to how long or durable said Shield would be however, I would say minimal.

As awesome as that would be, it would require quite a chunk of extra code, when it would be simple to give the Vanguard a taunt. Using them in conjunction would then be effective....hopefully (or not in the case of Sith).

Can we just stab something already?

While this makes sense in a PvE setting, most games don't actively allow players to force other players to attack them. Still, who's to say BioWare couldn't try it out.
Theorycrafting is fun. ;D

Back to Dark Age style IMO, no instant taunts, and all threat is based off damage done and simply certain attacks caused increased hate.
AND FOR THE LOVE OF GOD DO AWAY WITH MOTHER F*#%$&^$*#& GLOBAL COOLDOWNS. The combat doesn't feel nearly as fluid as it should when you hit a button and do an instant attack in between auto attacks. Make it either an auto attack or a style. You can't swing at someone then halfway through the swing jump up and two hand cleave the person.

Well, normal people can't...perhaps Jedi/Sith have that capability? I would like that to come back though. Also, critical hits shouldn't happen on every other attack....it kind of defeats the purpose of even having them called critical hit. While we're at it...they need to give us free-roam mounts! I want to ride my Tauntaun around!
