Horrton Nominated for RvR Trustee
Horrton's been a CoTer since creation and he was one of our first leaders. He loves the killin' and the senseless slaughter of our enemies. He and Ab will be a great RvR leading team.
Those who can vote on promotions please do so by May 3 or forever hold your tongue! Sorry, I cannot put a lacey pink g-string option on the poll or else that's what everyone would vote for and we wouldn't know if Horrt got the position or not!

Ab's Full Assed Game Review: Elder Scrolls IV: Oblivion - Shivering Isles
By Aberrant
This is the expansion for Oblivion, and you can get it for PC or the 360. The start of this game is great, as you enter a new land that is literally insane. You work for the Prince of Madness, and get to pick between going for a more manic style, or a more demented path. Each path offers a different ability. The people are very interesting, as most have some form of psychosis. The storyline is more interesting than the main quest, and you get a lot of nice choices in the quests. For example, one quest has you watch a group of lost adventurers make their way through some ruins. You get to mess around with them, deciding between simply killing them through different ways, or triggering events that cause them to go insane. The moral choices are one of the reasons I enjoyed the original game so much, and this expansion builds upon them. The graphics are similar to the original, which is good. The lands of the Shivering Isles is more twisted than the original, and remind me more of Morrowind. The game costs $30, which I consider worth it, especially if you are like me and have poured 50+ hours into the main campaign and want some new lands to explore.
Eternal War Guild Coalition for Warhammer: Age of Reckoning
Morg has plans! The Guild Coalition is planning on choosing 1 RP server for mains and 1 RP server for alts! That's fantastic for CoT since our alt-endeavors always flop due to a lack of consistant support and activity. If WAR has a chat-channel feature, we can always check out the Only-WAR chat to see if we have any support to play with when we're alting. He's also got a slew of additional ideas but they'll be revealed closer to release.
Mabinogi - www.manusnigrum.com/forum/
Vel had said that Mabinogi (the current alliance in DAoC) is alot like our old Storm Alliance in terms of being friendly and close. I checked out the board and asked if they were considering playing WAR together (as they have multiple game areas) and if so, I let them know about the coordination effort on Only-WAR.
Wubbie hits the 3 million rps mark!
by Wubbie
Well who says old guys can't play. Tonight I hit the 3 million rp mark, which is roughly half of the rps for CoT in DAOC. Mythic made some changes to the archery classes and I'm learning how to play again. Hopefully we won't get nerfed as our damage got upped a bit.
Hope everyone is doing fine. Hi to Aruth, Kaar, Iuveth, Zeli, Abber, Haila, and Hort. Sorry to anyone I missed on that list.
Still shooting arrows for CoT!
WAR NEWS
Some brief bits of stuff that came out in April
* WAR ship date has been moved to 1Q 2008.
* We've submitted our Guild Application for Beta! Guilds sending in multiple applications will NOT be concidered. We have already sent in ours.
* The Goblin Shaman as a tough nut to crack, because it was their first healer. Their emphasis is going to be on healers, up in front, slogging away with the lads rather than in the back out of the line of fire. There was a lot of balance to get there, and they’ve found it to be easier with every healer since then.
* The Guild system gets touched on briefly: the short of it is, ‘just like Dark Age of Camelot, but better.’ There’s some talk of veteran players leaving a guild having a negative impact on the guild as a whole. The implication is that keeping people in your guild long-term is a priority.
* Some more clarification about collision. Only happens in RvR. If a baddie is hedging you out, whack em’. If a friend is, you can ’squirt’ past them.
* Death penalty is not going to involve a lot of money; from comments it sounds like the goal is actually to downplay the role of cash money in the economy. This may be one of the elements mentioned in the press phone call about inhibiting RMT. If money isn’t that important the market will be less lucrative on third-party sites.
* When is Beta?” Jeff says late spring or summer, and they’re hoping to release this winter.
* All items will be sellable, which means there will be nothing like "Bind on Pickup" or "Bind on Equip". This is very important since we want to prevent wild farming like there is in other games.
* PvP area objectives will be important and you can't get to the capital siege just by playing scenarios.
* There will be RP servers with strict policy.

Our monthly update on Barose
B says:
"I am having a good time here. We live in tents and have a long walk for the showers and bathrooms, but nothing I'm not used to. It gets to around 145 degrees durring the day and we work for 12 hours a day 7 days a week, but I can handle it. Some of us may be getting internet in a few months. Its satalite and expensive but no other choice. I have seen a GI at the internet cafe on WoW, I'm going to find out how and try to hook it up for myself. I have met some good folks and been getting some WAR converts too..."
Something about the security over there gives him a hard time logging in to the forums, but he is checking the boards so feel free to post or reply a greeting in the public area. He'll see it.
He does get e-mail over there so if you prefer to send him an e-mail, his address is rinhammer@aol.com.
CoT Site Updates
Links page updated - I added in a linkbutton to our Frappr. I'm not really sure why I've never done that before.
RE-RE-Add - I have rereadded us to the Warhammer Links page. We were one of the first guilds to ever submit a link, but it's been through tests and tests and redone so everyone had to add add and add. I have us in the Undecided area.
New Guild Structure Tree - A picture is worth a thousand words, espcially when it's me explaining stuff, so I made a diagram of our guild structure that is alot easier to understand at a glance than my long long ramblings. Any details can still be checked out in the explination that is under the image. You can find all this and more in the Guild Positions and Descriptions area on the forums in the Info & Intro area.
New Slogans Added - Yep, a couple new slogans were added to the mix. Feel free to submit some as you get ideas.
BF 2142 Subforum - You BF 2142 players have a place to talk and plan or do whatever it is BF 2142 players do! It's cool to see CoTers getting together in other stuff!
