I would assume so, as I would think if that was a U.S. only number, they would have to added more servers by now.

even if (and assuming so) its the korea/japan servers still a fairly heafty number -- look again in about 3 months and can probably better extrapolate.

what's weird about this to me is that we just saw a rise in WoW's number to? Where are these people coming from?!? China. WoW is being re-released there as we speak, so the 5 million there that Blizzard was claiming as subscribers last year (but who had to be removed from the figures earlier this year) are being added back into the totals. This combined with 5 million North Americans and 3 million Europeans is how Blizzard gets back above the 10 million number. As for Aion, yes 3 of the 3.5 million are in Asia, the .5 is North America and Europe - something like 300K here in NA, and 150-200K Europeans. I think both Blizzard AND NCSoft are padding their Asian numbers by a large amount, as the MMO market is fundamentally different over there. The retail box + monthly sub model is not used there, instead it's prepaid game cards that are denominated in HOURS not months, to cater to the majority of the player base who do their gaming out of internet cafes. A session of WoW or Aion in Asia is culturally equivalent to an American spending the night out at Dave & Busters - once you understand this, then the numbers over there make more sense. The only Asians with monthly subs to WoW or Aion are gold farmers playing on North American servers

ah. Interesting. I would be interested to see exactly how they do break down the chinese #s'
still its nice to have be able to play an MMO with a 7 figure subscriber number so my epeen can stand up tall and proud when i tell other people that theres like a million people who share my interest. (b/c why would i only cite the NA #? grow epeen grow!)
