^Clearly a curved hilt in his hand. That makes me extremely excited. I can only hope that they plan to allow strategic differences to the varied hilts along with cosmetic. A curved hilt would allow for a "DPS" type guardian or warrior. Although admittedly it lends itself better to a Sith than a Jedi, it wouldn't make sense to restrict the Jedi. Maybe in an expac a light whip? Or the light scythe? I would maybe consider using a whip for my dps'r, and I would love to use the curved hilt as my MH with a regular hilt as my OH. For those of you who aren't completely obsessed with the deeper Star Wars universe, the curved hilt changes the angle of attack oh so slightly. It is best utilized by those with nothing but brute strength. Darth Bane's lightsaber was a curved hilt. And at the end of Bane book 2, 4 Jedi Masters and a Padawan attempted to vanquish Bane and Zannah. However, they failed. Because of Bane's curved hilt, they were caught off guard by the deviated angle. Allowing Bane to bash away at them recklessly, slowly wearying their defenses until Zannah was finally able to defeat the double bladed wielding guardian and then assassinate the dual wielding sentinel that was harrying Bane. From there the rest of the Jedi fell within quick succession, but not before an Ithorian master grabbed Bane by the ankle and surrounded both himself and Bane in a force barrier, right as Bane unleashed a force storm intended to cook the Padawan alive. It was a move that would cost Bane his orbalisk armor and nearly his life. Phew, mouth full. Anyways, varied hilts are confirmed , what do you guys think? Edit: Apparently they've been confirmed for some time now. Outfit tab has this pic;

From the /shudder prequels, the curved hilt seemed to be more for the fencing style fighting (Dookou). That makes sense, since it makes it easier to have the blade pointing out in front of you, more parallel to the floor.

[ I'm just teasin', man Heathen! You'll get yours It would certainly be easier to not program any differences(thinking about the code required does throw a huge shroud of doubt), I wouldn't put it past Bioware in the end. And yeah, I'm beginning to love the graphics. Can't wait to jump into beta!

It would be nice for a cosmetic shift, though I doubt they'd have the time to program in any stat changes. I do hope we are able to get some different looking lightsabers, as they're all supposed to be individual and different-again, probably not feasible.
After hearing you guys and others rave about the Darth Bane books, I bought and read the first two, and was surprised really. A lot of the Expanded Universe books have been disappointing, aside from the Heir to the Empire trilogy. These were generally a pretty good explanation of the Dark Side philosophy, as we've discussed before.
One point that bears mention with the battle between Bane and all those Jedi masters: In addition to being a strong Lightsaber fighter, Bane also had acquired a colony of symbiotes that made him impervious to pretty much anything, and they would heal him if he was damaged at all. He basically had the God Mode cheat on the whole time. Of course, he lost them after that fight, and they nearly killed him, but that's what happens when you go to a party, and people are passing around strange Dark Side energy sucking parasites.
Fear heralds the possibility of death. Calm shepherds its certainty.

Why, whatever could you mean? It's like you're using your phallic energy weapons as a metaphor for something sexual! Oh, Lawd, the vapors!
