First off, hope everyone likes the new theme. Again, if there's anything you see missing or would like added, feel free to drop in suggestions here:

BUT, this thread is about using the new theme. Because it's a magazine style theme (just means it uses a featured article slider) there is a couple things you need to do to your posts. If you want to just post words, that's fine with me, I can take care of this extra stuff later. But if you'd like to handle it yourself, this is what you do:
1. Featured Article Image
Instead of placing an image at the very top of your post, you'll need to add the image via the "featured image" button located on the lower right of the post creation page:
Just click on that button and you'll be asked to add an image in the exact same screen that you normally use for uploading or linking to images. Except this time, you'll hit "Use as Featured Image" instead of inserting into the post, like so:
That's it...you're done! You can still add images to the rest of your post like normal, but now this image will show up in the featured articles slider properly. But how do I tell wordpress to make my article featured Steve? Well, I'm glad you asked.
2. Make it Featured PLEASE SEE THE UPDATE BELOW
This one is pretty simple as well. If you want your article featured, then just click on the "edit" button next to "visibility" on the upper right of the editing page like so:
It will create a dropdown with options. All you need to do is click on "Stick this to the front page" and BAM! it's in the slider.
But Steve, my post is really long, and after I did those things you said, it makes the slider really really long! MAKE IT STOP! Well, I've asked the creators of the theme to add an adjustable character limit to the slider so we don't have to do step 3, but until then you have to...
3. Cut that shit off!
Again, very easy once you know how. Just find a good cutoff point in your article, I'd say after the first couple lines, and click the "Insert More tag" button. Wherever you add this it WILL look like it adds another space to your post, but don't worry, it'll look fine, no need to adjust.
Looks like this btw:
Well, I hope that clears everything up. Be sure to ask any questions you might have, or concerns. And I'll be sure to send Guido to help you with them.
