Crafting! Is anyone trying to do any? I am and let me tell you, it is a bit of a grind. I am a 25 Assault and my weapon crafting is only 16 and armor is 1. A fun grind, but none the less it is one. The options are grind PvE for materials or grind PvP for money. I've been alternating. I prefer the PvP, but you only get like 2000 credits for winning a match. Right now the best price you can buy rusty plate for is around 3000 credits. So if you only play PvP you need to win 6 matches to have enough rusty plate to craft an item. PvE on the other hand seems to be a lot faster for crafting. On the High Security missions I get like 1 or 2 rusty plates every mission and many, many rusty scraps. This may make the decision seems simple if you want to craft. Well, it is not that simple. YOU SEE I LOVE THE PvP!!! It is hard to motivate myself to grind on PvE when I love the PvP so much.

What do you create when you craft? Cosmetic stuff (different looking versions of the same armor) or is it gear with stats?

So far just mostly upgrades. Small increases in stats. I have some that give an extra 1% energy pool, +1% ground speed, +1% recharge rate, basicly just small things like that. It is completely non-cosmetic. Does not affect the appearance of your weapons or armor.

yeah, crafting is pretty much just there for the min/maxers It's not a bad system at all, but kindof a grind right now because Rusty Plate is one of the key components to about EVERYTHING, and it doesn't drop very often. I think I ran through about 4 or 5 PvE missions to get 1, and most recipes need 4. Hi Rez already knows about the issues though and says they will have it fixed by the end of March. Plus, they're looking at adding more high end items to make it worth peoples time supposedly. I just hope they don't give an unfair advantage.

That is the hard part to balance. "Worth your while to make" usually means "you need it if you want to be a playa". Unless it is just cosmetic.
