So how do we want to keep it together?
I dont want to start a CoT in LOTRO becaues this is totally just a sidetrack for me.
My ideas:
If anyone is already in a guild, see if they wouldn't mind a few extra faces and explain that it's just for a few months until WAR.
or
We can do the old alt-guild (Tainted Circle) and that way we dont have to bother with anyone else rules, we dont have to do all the initiation stuff, and simply explain to any new folks that it's a temp thing and we won't be around for any long term guild support.
or
We can simply do a private chat channel and have folks join that and technically not have a guild.
what's the preference?

Make sure you have "User chat 1" thru "4" checked in the chat filters and then do "/joinchannel CoT"
You use /1 (or /2 if you already have a userchannel on) to sent stuff on the channel.

I'm cool with whatever.
Doesn't have to be a proper guild. All guilds do is chat anyways lol. Same thing with less fanfare.
There are quite a few OW members coming with us as well. If anything maybe we could just throw together an OW guild that has no rules or anything, just a platform for easier chat and grouping. Easier to find peeps on alts that way. And I guarantee I will have like 5 alts lol.

A random guild is fine, or just a chat channel.

One vote for a guild is that it is easier to chat.
I can't seem to make it default to the CoT channel, so each time I want to say something, I need to:
-press enter -type /1 blah blah
I usually wind up jumping around and opening random windows when I try to chat.

We need 6 people to "sign" the charter within 24 hours so the kinship's created. We'll do it tomorrow night. I vote for "Aim to Misbehave" hehe

If people say they want more than the private chat and want a guild, then it will be what we call an ALT GUILD. In an alt guild in CoT, we just invite anyone who's our friend. It's not a formal guild. They can belong to other guilds in other games or even have mains in other guilds on the same server. We don't care! It's just an alt guild. There’s no initiation or voting or anything. Also we don't use the CoT name, because we do invite anyone we know, it's not really CoT and if someone should invite an idiot, then I don't want to deal with it being under our guild name and I don't want it under anyone elses. We use "Tainted Circle" as the alt-guild name. So in LOTRO then any of the OW folks could join and all the alliance folks and so on. Pretty much everyone has invite privileges and stuff like that. Whoever wants to join is cool - but make sure everyone understands this is temporary until WAR comes out. We don’t want to invite folks who are surprised when we pick up and leave in a couple months. But if the OW folks want to just do a Only-WAR guild, then that's fine with me too but check with Morg'th first if you use Only-WAR as the guild name. I want to make this as non-organized as possible. Totally fun, casual and just whatever! When WAR hits, I want to be able to walk away from this guilt-free.

As for the name of the guild, I don't really care, really. However, I might want to find a kin myself that is more "stable" than something that could be considered ephemeral. Create a guild just for the sake of creating a guild is something I'd leave to someone else... *look at Zeli*.
I'm in LOTRO for at least 3 months. Maybe more since we can assume that we'd be lucky if WAR gets released this year. There's Age of Conan tho... I might try that one come March 28th.

Is it really coming that soon? I thought AoC was on the block for later in the year with the troubles they encountered.
hmm may have to check it out then.

Maybe I'm completely wrong. You can even see that date on the Wikipedia entry (if that even make it authoritative) en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Age_of_conan

well gamestop.com shows the 25th as well. Might be worth a shot but WAR is right around the corner from that no? 2nd quarter '08 at the latest is end of june. Might be worth a looksie maybe.

No. Or maybe it is. I don't know. We should ask EA Mythic for that one.
