Any of you tried out the Chicken Play option? Looks like we can play a chicken in a series of quests where we have travel across the map as a level 1 chicken...
My question is this, while you play a chicken, are you part of the common game world (ie. you can see other players playing normal player characters) or are you like in an instance or something?

I did that a while ago....I remember it loading while switching, and I think it was an instanced version of the zone.

One of the chicken quests has you travelling all the way to Lone-lands! It'd kind of dumb to do it in an instance. Mind you, there's no zone loading between the Shire and the Lone-lands anyway.

It's strange. When I did one of the chicken quests, it was like an instance zone. I lost connection with the kinship. I was a chicken, I suppose, as the message told me I didn't belong to a kinship. But I did see some other players, although not many. And I have passed chickens with player names, a whole flock once. So I am not sure exactly how it works. Guess that doesn't help you much. ;D
There is one north of Waymeet, I believe, on Sanderson's farm. The one I did you had to go pluck worms from mounds of dirt, avoiding beasts who would like a nice chicken meal.

I dont think it's instanced cause my wife did it and said she could see players.
I never did it cause I dislike the shire hehe.

My guess is that, when you play a chicken, you're still in the normal world, but you just switch "faction" like in Monster Play.
