You die, and someone brings you back to life with the Defib ...and you now have a different kit?
This has happened to me about 5 times, and I can't figure out why. I die as Assault, get rezzed, and suddenly I am holding a SAAW or sniper rifle or something.

Yup, it has happened to me as well. I have no idea why either.

Hmmm...not that I have noticed. But then again, I have no idea what the hell is going on half the time.

Basically when you die you drop your kit ... however, when someone defibs you I believe you pick up the closest kit. So if your the only person around that died you pick up yours. But, if someone else died near you, you have a chance to pick up their's. You can however pick yours back up. Look on the ground find a backpack and Press G. that'll drop the existing kit and pick up the one on the ground. You can do this for any kits you find laying around even an enemies.

That makes sense. I mean, I know you can and I have on many occasions, picked up the kits from dead friends and foes, but I didn't realize you auto-grab whats closest on revive.
Now if only I could get people to pick up my kit, then revive me with my own Defib!

Ooh, that might work, Aruth. Hmmm. If I'm not rated for defrib, can I still pick one up and use it?

Yes, you can use anything you pick up, regardless of whether you have unlocked that item with your own soldier or not.
Well, I guess an exception would be the squad beacon...I think you might have to be a squad leader to pick that up and move it.

Yeah I don't think you can pick up the squad unlocks. Also don't quote me on picking up the closest kit, there may be something else going on there. However, that is what it seems like to me.

It happened to me a few times after reading this. That has to be it. I saw my kit sitting nearby so I grabbed it, as I have no idea what I am doing with the other ones.
