I'm thinking about checking out the Battlefeild games, and decieded that because there is already a CoT Battlefeild forum, that I should ask you guy if it's worth it?
Maybe give some Cons/Pros, and just give me a general idea. Any help at all would be much appreciated.

Aruth and I are the ones who play mostly. I haven't gotten a chance to play in awhile, but still like it. Pros: Huge battles, up to 64 players. The break people into squads, which have their own objectives which help shape the battle. I love the huge battle games, so I am a little biased towards more players. I generally have a harder time getting into games that have like 12 players tops. Titan mode is a lot of fun. Each team has a huge air battleship with shields, and the ground control points are missiles that hammer away at the shields. The objective is to destroy the other ship, and you can even board an enemy ship once the shields go and sabotage it from the inside. There are also some other fun modes, like the assault mode. The game also has a character progression system that works pretty well. You pick which class you want and earn optional upgrades. Cons: The game can be a bit glitchy. Installation and patching were tough for me. I got with EA support and they told me delete everything and start over Once I got everything up to date I was fine. Also, the game can be a bit frustrating if you get into a bad squad. Additionally, the interface and character setup is not terribly intuitive, but easy once you get the hang of it.

Yeah Ab pretty much nailed it.
It's a blast, IMHO, but yeah can be glitchy when they update Punkbuster and stuff.
Titan mode can be pretty intense. It's probably my favorite way to play.
I say give it a shot if you like FPS games. Try the solo games, and crank the bot skill level up to get yourself used to things before jumping onto a live server. Try being a Commander as well, if only to give you a better sense of whats going on around you. Then when ready, do a search through the server list for 'Low Rank Only' servers first. Those are servers where there is a cap on what level a soldier can be to play on it (and thus what unlocks he has available to him).
BTW unlocks make a difference, but they are not *everything*. You can play very successfully with the basic weapons. In fact a lot of the skilled players use the basic main weapons still.
That being said, there are some early "must-haves", like the grenade, extra stamina, etc.
