I haven't really been following this per se, but had heard of its development. Marvel MMO CancelledInteresting that Cryptic was involved in this. They brought us City of Heroes which was recently purchased by NC. It had been a joint venture, I believe, before NC bought out Cryptic. So I wonder where this leaves Cryptic now.

Rumor has it that Cryptic is taking over the Star Trek MMO license.

Bummer. I don't know how a Marvel MMO would have worked in reality, but I would love another comic-book MMO.
CoX just got too boring for me after about 15-20 levels.

Rumors abound that there may be a DC universe MMO in the works. The bad news is, however, that it has also been connected with Sony Online.

Thanks for the scoop. I had heard it was on the ropes, but I didn't hear it had been sent to the zapper (gucomics injoke there). I had heard that Marvel and Cryptic didn't see eye to eye on game play. Marvel, apparently, wanted something more like Marvel Ultimate Alliance. There is a DC game in the works, and the comic book artist, Jim Lee, is attached in some form. Here's hoping it makes it out of development. I'd totally play a Green Lantern
