Jeff Skalski posted something yesterday on twitter about it so I popped over and voted for DAoC. I'm not really sure what's up with this move, though. It's an EA published game still, right? Is it not on Origin? And Why would EA allow it to go on Steam? And why does it have to go through Greenlight?

Oh, I thought EA was still publishing for them.

It's kind of hard to say honestly. I mean clearly they got permission to put the game on Steam, so it's not going to be an Origin exclusive.
Maybe they are trying to seperate the game from EA from a branding standpoint?
New name, same old "cool dev guys", fresh start? It's hard to say, especially with the game still having a subscription model (I don't see that lasting at all honestly).
It might be something cool to check out for nostalgia's sake later, but for now this is probably just a "wait and see" for me.
