Don't pull a Wrasse, Z. I really liked you. You don't want to go on my "nemesis" side...

they started to use the benQ drives in November of 2006. Some people are more tolerant to constant noise than others, I guess.

Since I got into HTPC stuff, I have grown intolerant of noisy PC's and electronics. With the most recent gaming PC I built, I focused on being near silent first and foremost, instead of just speed (its plenty fast though...e6420 @ 3.2ghz & nVidia 8800 GTS overclocked)
I don't know how the 360 compares to the original X-box, but my original X-Box is pretty noisy.

Ab has me in the house making constant noise and he can tune that out, so I doubt anything else bothers him.

You understand my plight for a quiet movie/game environment. It's already a bore that I have to accept the noise my nearby PCs make in the office beside the "cinema room". If I have to adapt to noisy game consoles, well, there's some limits.
