Because GW2 makes it so much more possible for us to play together regardless of individual levels, I'd like to start a weekly group up night. Problem is I'm not sure what the best venue would be. Should we pick a zone each week and try to to do the vistas/skill challenges? Do we farm events for crafting mats? Is there a dungeon we should start running? Do we start a Keg Brawl league?
Let me know what your suggestions are!
(added a poll due to how the discussion went, after the night of the week is decided I'll make a new post to poll which activity we want to do first)

I like the idea of picking a zone, farming and doing events as we come upon them. If lots of us show we can split and do 2 zones and see who collects the most mats. heh heh Then celebrate our awesomeness by a Nekked run through a city?

Definitely Keg Brawl league from time to time. But all of these ideas are great

I would love to see us picking a zone and just bashing through it. would be a great time to earn some influence for the guild too, and drop some guild boosts and banners.

We should do jump puzzle races. And I think there is a level 15 dungeon in the Sylvari start zone.

The first dungeon is level 30, Ascalonian Catacombs. Though, if you value your sanity I would skip that one and do the next one at level 40, Caudecus's Manor. AC in story mode (level 30) is doable but frustrating and explorable mode (level 35) is just painful unless you have great gear appropriate to your level. Even then ... meh. Again, I'd skip and save that one for later.
The dungeon in Caledon Forest is actually level 50 even though it's in the 1-15 zone. I thought that at first too. Was bummed when I found out otherwise.

Thanks for the info Saia!
k we'll steer clear of dungeons for now. If someone wants to run one, just toss a post up to set it up.
Maybe for now we just pick a night to meet on a regular basis and each week we can pick a different activity.
I'd like to keep Saturday nights open for the future (WvW) and Friday's open in case we ever podcast again. SO, with that, and given how tired I usually am come Thursday nights, I'm leaning towards Sunday or Monday nights. I'll make a poll to see which one has the most support.
Again, if you want to organize something on a different night, go for it!

I ran around with Jazz's guild last Saturday in a zone chasing events. It's pretty fun because if you chain them together you can get the mega event to pop. We hit nodes and skill challenges for people that wanted them. It was really fun and the xp was great.

I say all fun things to do as a group. I am level 79 and I have not ran any of the dungeons. And since most of my leveling has been in WvWvW, My map completion is very low. I would also like to take sometime away from WvWvW while they fix the problems.

I'd love to roll a zone as a group, grabbing POIs, mats, vistas, etc, and grabbing DEs when possible (and of course, following chains!)
Sounds like a lot of fun, I'm definitely in.

All of the ideas sound good. Why not rotate through them so each Monday is something different?

We should totally do the jumping puzzles too. I suggested this in no way because I think it's funny to watch people fall during jumping puzzles. 0:)

You mean Sunday?
Update:
I spoke with Zeli last night and she's looking into starting a weekly map completion group on Monday nights with her guild. We also spoke about possibly making them a part of our alliance, but I have yet to speak with the other guild leaders about them. So far it seems like they are a younger group, but she's not had any flags raise in regard to their demeanor.
So yes, I like the idea of finding events that we can group up for every Sunday Night and leave the map completion stuff for Monday nights.
Or do we keep it purely PvP? Keg Brawl and sPvP groupings?
Let me know your thoughts!
;D
