I am in the market for some new headphones. I am looking for ones that cover the ears, thus providing noise cancellation, and can travel well. Traveling being, to and from college during breaks in a backpack / suitcase(unlikely).
I have been looking at Steelseries 7h, since they can be taken apart for travel. Also Ziss @ lagwar swears by them. However online reviews seem to be more complaints than praise.
So I was wondering what everyone else uses, or suggests.

For what it's worth, I have the Steelhead 5H and have zero complaints.

Logitech 930s, I can throw them around and they take no damage, are small enough to be portable easily to and fro college, and have great noise cancellation.
Though its actually a headset, not just headphones. I have the mic turned off and use my table mic, but swear by them for the audio output.

Ah, hmm, probably should've specified a headset.
The 930 looks bulky, though.

Ah, hmm, probably should've specified a headset. The 930 looks bulky, though. They are, and it took me a week or so to really get used to them. Now that I've had them awhile I've gotten pretty comfortable with the fit and they sound really good. If you want something lightweight, Plantronics 780 www.amazon.com/Plantronics-GameCom-780-Surround-Headset/dp/B006ZS5ATM/ref=cm_cr-mr-title is the most comfortable over-ear headset I've owned--they're really solid and built sturdy but weigh next to nothing. However the sound quality isn't quite as full as you might want, they don't have a very deep low end and the felt ear cups don't create a tight noise-blocking seal so you will still hear outside noise unless the volume is turned way up.
