We talked recently in another thread about how we wish we could take guild chat with us when we weren't playing, which is not an option in swtor. It looks like it is in Guild Wars 2: wiki.guildwars2.com/wiki/Smartphone_applicationSince Guild Wars 2 has no subscription fee, and a fair number of us plan to at least try it, and the app is free, it might be a good way for us to stay in touch outside of games, since it offers a guild chat feature, even after we stop playing guild wars. As another option, steam has a smartphone app that supports chat, but apparently not group chat? If anyone can prove me wrong that might be an even better option.

We should do a poll or something to see who is planning on buying GW2

This is really cool, and I'm surprised that Bioware or especially Blizzard hasn't made more of an attempt to get into the mobile market. Blizz has guild chat, but it costs an extra monthly fee and I think they could do much more with WoW. Bioware so far hasn't done anything but speculate on possibilites.
Imagine the new pet battle system in MoP on iOS or android. It'd be an awesome way to keep people active in WoW when they aren't logged into your character. Lunch break? Log in, do a pet battle, maybe get a level or something on your new pet. And in SWTOR, the crew skills are really similar to Mafia Wars or any of those Facebook time management games. So, think how cool it would be to log into your crew skill app and send off your companions before you get in the car to drive home, and then you have rewards waiting for you once you're home. That would be awesome.
It's awesome if GW2 offers guild chat and stuff for free. They would already be steps ahead of other MMOs.

Rift has guild chat and mini games in their mobile app, which we could use to all chat with each other, especially since up to level 20 is free now, so it would cost nothing for us to all get into a mobile guild chat together but time. but for some reason i got shot down the last time i suggested that.
