Stargrace mentioned this one www.plantronics.com/us/product/gamecom-777I like the open ear design, because I usually play when the kids are sleeping, so I need to keep an ear out for crying. Also, my ears get hot and sweaty with regular big headphones. I hadn't thought about that until I saw Grok's and remembered my last pair of big headphones.

Funny, I usually have the same problem with big headphones, but the earpiece is big enough that it fits comfortably around my ear without actually touching it so they don't cause the hot sweaty feeling I normally get from big headphones. When I'm listening out for the kids I usually just keep one ear on and the other off. Also, these aren't noise cancelling so you can actually hear ambient room sound if you haven't got them cranked. But the ones you posted seem more up your alley anyway.

The reviews of Stargrace's say the top is cheap plastic and tends to break. Not good. I'll look at them all more closely. I don't need noise canceling for my ears, but it is nice for the mic end of things.

That set that I linked to you on twitter is completely over the ear, but you can hear outside noise through it....but unfortunately, people in the room can also hear what you are listening to. Which might be annoying for them...

www.logitech.com/gaming/headsets/devices/7248I'm a huge fan of these, but I'm not sure its what you're looking for Winin. I tend to have one ear off and one on (which is still comfortable) so I can hear what's going on around me. With both on you can't hear shit (which is awesome but probably not great for you xD)
