Nice write up, can't wait for the Shaman impressions.

Thanks Morg'th! I loved the write-up...the idea of longer battles, more strategy, sticky-bombs and fun classes, interesting zones, great pathing/AI, MOB placement, etc. all sounded good to me! The only thing that stuck out was a possible item grind in PvP (rank/etc...we'll see how that plays out) AND that only PARTS of dungeons will be instanced...I think I'll miss having a whole dungeon to ourselves for an evening outing...but we'll also have to see how all of this is handled (I don't want to have to perform camp checks like in EQ ever again ). Thanks for the link!

instances are good and bad. It can be nice to go to your fav dungeon and find a group to join, rather than having to byo all the time.

I do like a mix...sometimes you have your friends ready to roll and it can be great...and it can also be ruined by overcrowding of a zone in a non-instanced game. I'm hoping for both.

Well, from what we DO know, it won't be a worry about dungeons needing instances to the degree EQ or WOW does, so no worries about camping a spawn. But when they do have things that people need to do, expect THOSE parts to be instanced in dungeons. Morg'th N'Throg

Morg'th N'Throg Well that sounds good to me...only way to be sure if it's any good would be to allow me to beta test it though...it's the only way to be sure. Hear that Mythic!!!

thats how i was hoping it would be.
it shouldn't be difficult for devs to know what areas are going to be hot spots due to quests and such and instance them appropriately.
on the other hand, I've met alot of cool cats because of pugs (mithra, tepoks, etc.) that happen because you just happen to be in the same place at the same time, so non-instanced stuff is good too!

That kinda seems fun, revenge and all, but it sucks to be debuffed for defeating your enemy? That was about the only thing I liked WoW for over DAoC, was not being interupted. This sounds promising, that it's more of an ability rather than common place. ;D ;D ;D ;D That's intresting, wonder if it will work? I like instances for guild hunts, but I agree with Z, we meet a lot of good peeps just bumming around dungons and whatnot. BLONDE MOMENT EDIT: Does that mean everything will be soulbound?

They mentioned that only slightly. Last we heard, no BoP but they may plan on BoE. Morg'th N'Throg

I remember reading that before and I didn't think it was decided. I just read that and thought BoP, AH!. Which would be really bad for a small guild like us who shares everything around. BoE wouldn't be so bad.
