What is your view on Soulbound items?
Soulbound: once you pick up or equip an item, it is bound to your character. You can never pass it on to another character or player. You can only sell it to a PC vendor when you are done with it.
For the most part, I dislike soulbinding items. I really liked in DAoC, being able to hold on to my gear and pass it on to another guild member later. It's not about twinking. It's about being supportive to your realm.
I do like Soulbinding of some items – really rare items that you get after a major accomplishment. Those items are nice because they are also badges of what you have achieved. Everyone knows that you had to kill X in order to get that Y sword.
But when soulbinding gets overused, as I feel it is in WoW, it makes it loses that meaning and simply makes it difficult to hand things down to your realmmates.
EDIT: Also I think it promotes making loot aquisition a primary goal in the game.

I agree. Soulbounding makes sense for maybe Epic gear or class specific quest items. But I don't have time to go through a dungeon 10 times to maybe have something drop and then get a good roll to get it. I would rather have the option of buying it off a player or AH. I also like passing gear onto other characters. I probably took about 4 scouts through the bgs, and I sure wouldn't have done that if I had to search for new armor everytime.

On the other hand, most of the soulbound items are common as dirt in WoW, or else there is something better out there. WoW is all about the gear, so there it is ok. Most of my stuff in camelot was player made, so there, soul binding makes less sense.

Not a big fan of it...I agree. I guess Mythic hasn't said anything about this yet?
