www.kombo.com/article.php?artid=14032An accused Indiana man (maybe slurms knows him) fled to Canada (because they allow anything up there) to avoid multiple drug related charges. Apparently authorities learned that he played WoW and issued a subpoena to Blizzard but then articles state that Blizz had no legal reason to comply. I'm not sure how a subpoena works, but anyway, they supplied his IP address, his account information and history, his billing address, as well as online screen name and preferred server. The authorities used the IP addie and Google Earth and caught him. I've seen quite a few articles on this, and most raise the question about whether or not Blizzard went to far in giving out this personal information. If you're laying low for fleeing a warrant for your arrest, you probably don't want to go online, or use credit cards or your cell phone. I mean, really, am I the only one who saw Enemy of the State?
