Does anyone play in them? I'm going to try warsong gulch with my 19 mage before he hits 20. I think that's the capture the flag one. I can try the Arathi Highlands one with Grumpin (34 hunter) to see how the capture the resource point is. That one sounds like Battlefield 1942, so maybe fun.
or do you have to be top level for your range with uber gear to do well?

I did some good bg action with Wrasse's folks, it was a blast. If you get a group of people you know you will have a blast. If you try it with a pickup group it can be very, very frustrating. Arathi Highlands one is great, it is a bit like BF.

I remember playing BF with my clan on our server where we booted the assclowns vs with random people on random public servers. Sounds the same. My warlock over on that server is 16 I think. May have to try it over there too.

Ellwin (hunter) is a battleground guru, as is Corth (warrior)....both would be great to ask about this. Kierjan (also a hunter) has recently got into them as well. I've done some with Tuulah, mostly WSG (which can be very, VERY hectic) and Arathi Basin....only been to AV once but it was great fun as well. On the lower end of the scale, I've done them quite a bit with Noaand (at level 29), Warsong Gulch and Arathi Basin. At this level, you really start to see the professional twinks and it can be quite frustrating. These are folks who have high level mains with ridiculous amounts of money who have all top end gear and the high end enchants, etc. (firey weapon enchants and crusader at level 29 hurts very much bad!) They also spend a mint on potions and pretty much live in the bgs. They also tend to be very, very good, especially against a newb like me, with my green gear. I've had mixed experiences with her, one or two runs where I was right up near the top as far as kills and death blows. She's a squishy so she doesn't run the flag. One thing I noticed at this level in WSG is folks taking the flag and hiding with it....and BOTH sides will do this! It's pretty much intended to prolong the game, allowing folks to rack up the kills. It's a snore, as far as I'm concerned. My best advice is to try them out and go more than once. The first time I went to WSG, I absolutely HATED it but you can get into it. And have FUN!

I've done AV a few times over the past few weeks..it didn't take much for me to get to Sgt, at least...and if I'm doin' pvp runs, I sign up for the hour plus wait for AV and then start AB runs in the meanwhile I haven't done WSG yet but Tuulah mentioned to me today that with the xpac coming out there's pvp mounts you can buy with tokens from the bg's..so it may be time to start hoarding them all

The mount you get from AV Exhaulted faction is only 8 gold. I think this weekend is AV bonus weekend. That is an awesome time to get mad faction and honor points. I love AV BG, it is most like DAoC RvR. AB and WSG I ony do if I need some PvP action. I try to group with other Leftovers so I do not have to be in a PuG. The Leftovers PvP channel is LOpvp if you want to join it sometime.

The Leftovers PvP channel is LOpvp if you want to join it sometime. The only problem with the mount in AV is that, although it costs you 8 gold by the time you hit exalted in AV, you have to pay for riding lessons (takes a 150 skill) that will still cost you around 650+ gold (just for those who may be thinking it's a cheap epic mount ). So it's still expensive. The rank 11 mount is just the 75 skill to ride so it's the better choice...umm...well if you can hit rank 11. AV is fun though...although now having played it on both side...the Horde side is so much more mature and you have to deal with less people throwing profanities and complaints all over the BG chat. Just be prepared...and people yell a lot if you aren't 60...very silly because everyone can contribute if they work together.

Hmm, maybe I'll have to try it on the horde pvp server with my warlock.

Hmm, maybe I'll have to try it on the horde pvp server with my warlock. Overall though...it's just more fun with friends. I do still think that WAR is going to put the BGs in WoW to shame...but that's all Z's fault...she turned me from fan to fanboi to raving fanatical WAR misfit. I blame her.

blame me!!! I need to learn to spread my obsession to more folks instead of simply piling it up on the same people.
