Howdy Folks. Now that my little Goblin Hunter is in Northrend I find myself thinking about the approaching endgame. Soloing is fine for leveling (if lonely at times) but I've seen WoW endgame often enough in the past to know it won't keep my interest without a group of cool folks to hang out with. Since I'm new to the Silverhand community I figured I'd ask here about Hordeside guilds. Anyone know of a laid back group more interested in having fun than inflating their gear scores? I haven't spent much time in the cities where I can read tradechat/region chat. I should probably spend some time fishing in Dalaran so I can get a feel for the community here.

Yea, that's probably your best bet. My old buddies from SH who are extremely laid back do have a Horde Guild, but they also play Alliance so their time on each side is split.
If that doesn't interest you like you said, trade chat can be your best friend at times.

If you are not in a guild at the moment, I would highly recommend finding a casual guild with lots of active members. the new guild achievement rewards are pretty sweet, especially when leveling.
Unfortunately, I do not know any Horde side Silverhand guilds. I unexpectidly ended up re-rolling on a completely different server to play with some other friends.
I don't have the tome to end-game raid anymore. I would suggest when you hit 85 and start running random heroics to keep an eye out for some cool players you group up with from your server.

Thanks for the advice guys. I doubt I'll do the raiding thing again. But then again, I never expected to enjoy WoW enough to level a character to and through Outlands again. Silliness happens. I'm going to hang out an keep my eyes open for the time being. I'm only 72 so "endgame" is still far away. No worries.

A great raiding guild can make the game fun again, even after all hope is lost. I only raided the Burning Crusade expansion, but that was a fine example of the work Bliz puts into their encounters. I'm sure the vanilla wow dungeons were great fun too, and the expansions since then have probably only raised the bar. Good luck finding such a guild, and I suppose you could always go to the community site and check the forums for your server.
And remember kids, don't send people pictures of your junk.
