Now that I have your attention, I do need some help with sound. I can play CoH, stream videos/music from Yahoo.com, etc. without any problems. When I try to watch Youtube videos I get video but no sound. I've looked at the youtube help and nothing I've tried helps, so now I'm asking you.

Hey... isn't that a bannable offense? if not shouldn't it be - I was all sorts of mislead! I'm not a big youtube'er (now I'm thinking pototes) so not much help, just was hoping to find a new guide to getting the 'thrustmaster 6969' configured for maximum pleasure - guess I go back to trolling.

Now I have to go google "sex and technical difficulties". Sheesh, what a letdown.
As for your problem, I don't know. Maybe try a different browser and see if that helps? What video drivers does youtube use? Maybe you need to update some software?

Tried that Win. I downloaded Netscape, but the same problem happens. The only thing that I can think of is that apparently my copy of Windows XP is a copy (thanks Bro-in-law), and Microsoft can detect that. That means I cannot get new service packs until I purchase a "genuine copy".

Ah, yeah, that might do it. Vista is coming out soon.

The drivers should be your first step. Go to the sound card manufacturer's site and get the latest. You might run into an issue with the version of Windows you have. If you cannot get all the updates you might have issues with the sound drivers.
