I was really surprised to see the housewives book club interrupted by the plane crash! very nice!
i hate to think that it's behavioral psychologists gone evil since I am married to a behavioral psychologist!
The cheesy over-sized rat traps are amusing.
I wonder what they did to Kate. I know they made her put on the handcuffs too tight, but why did she willingly put them on and then, at some point she must have struggled to get out of them - judging by her scuffed up wrists. I understand putting them on. I mean, other than letting her captors gage her consent or apparent submissiveness, she knew she was trapped without the handcuffs. By putting them on, she can let them underestimate her, freeing her up for a later opportunity.
I hate guessing about this show. It's always a tease.

I was suprised too Z. I am most curious about the information the "others" had on Jack. It is like they planned on certain people being there, so they had all their information, but that would mean they somehow had a hand in making the plane crash so it would land on the island. Which is totally far fetched. Sometimes I hate this show because I want to know more but have to wait, but then again I have not seen anything (movie or tv show) that even comes close to holding my attention like this show has.

From their surprise of the plane crash in the beginning, I no longer think the Others knew they were coming. They must have access to the outside world to get the information on them all, plus having all of their food and supplies.

Then why don't they just leave?

The Others? I think they are either remnants of the Dharma Initiative or a new project that is working on building some type of utopian society. I think they definitely have a purpose there, they are not castaways. Couple other things I wondered about. Do the Others know that Desmond and that other guy were in there pushing the buttons? In previews for next week the Henry Gale guy is surprised to learn that they have a sailboat. So then do they know that if you don't push in the buttons big bad happens? Like when the plane crashed because Desmond didn't put in the buttons. And what was it that they got injected with? Something to fight the mysterious 'illness' that is supposedly on the island or something else?

I dunno. I know they had said in past episodes that the other stations didn't communicate to one another. I thought, since they were remenants someone in the "others" should have been in at least one of those stations. I would think they would have talked about it by now. They seemed to know the island well and I can't believe they didn't know about that. And what about the crazy woman that lives in the woods? She knows a lot too but, they can never get anything out of her. I missed the whole injection thing. What was that about? Oh yeah, and the whole pile of log books from the monitoring room. That had to have come across that. It should hold a lot of information about the individual sites.

Kate and Jack both had cotton balls taped to their arms and they had lil boo-boos underneath. Looked like they either injected something or took blood or had IVs in.
I didn't notice if Sawyer had one.

Lost...how I love and loathe thee all at the same time! OK...here are my ramblings... I think the stack of papers on Jack that the new hot chick had (enter new Jack love interest and a way for Kate and Sawyer to really get involved without his interruption) were just that...a stack of random papers that held no information on him. Maybe the band aid was covering up a shot of some sort that made their lips a bit loose (they got some info on Jack and used it to get more...or plan to)...or maybe they were injected with 'the cure' for 'the plague' that is on the island (that is supposed to be genetically engineered to wipe out the 'bad people' who may lead us to armageddon...which is kinda what I got from the video that was released this summer by the prize winner of that web contest). I just get this feeling (pretty obvious one for most I'm sure) that this is a cult-like gathering here and they are using brain-washing techniques to break people down and then bring them up/win trust in order to get them involved as well. Heck everyone needs a good woman for breeding and a good doctor to make sure everyone is well...Sawyer...not sure about him just yet but he did very well in getting his fish biscuit! lol I just hope a lot of the crazy things they've been seeing on the island (the four-toed statue...the crazy picture flashing dark smokey trail that likes to stop and check people out, etc.) aren't all expained by people being 'infected' with the Dharma group's virus that may cause some kind of insanity as a side effect as it takes you out. The 'others' seem to know a lot about the Dharma initiative either through the records they found there while trying to form some type of utopian society (like Ab said) or by maybe being a part of it at some point in time. They certainly don't (on the outside) seem to care about it and more seem to just be using what is available on the island to survive...the only thing they seem to be convinced of is the plague thingie that is out and about. They certainly set up that new gal to betray their leader...she's reading Stephen King for chrissakes! She's going to hook up with Jack...go Jack, it's your birthday! He deserves a good woman after saving his exes life basically and then having her cheat on him (I mean hell...if your significant other was so gifted that s/he could save lives like no other...would you leave him/her because they weren't around enough? Where the hell is true love and understanding that with great power comes great responsibility...spidey would understand, that's for certain!). The lead 'others' guy is a creepy, manipulative douchebag...can't wait for him to bite it...maybe by that alien smokey thingie! This show could go so many ways...and thanks for letting me ramble incoherently!

He and Juliette definitely have some bad history. Something will definitely happen there. I am thinking that you are wright Wrasse, those papers were just papers. She didn't provide him with any real information. I kind of hope they resolve the whole Jack's dad was mean to him thing. I think it has run its course, it was interesting for awhile. And speaking of his dad, who else thinks Jack and the chick with the kid that the hobbit loves are half-brother and sister? They showed Jack's dad last year banging on someone's door in Australia, and a women that looked like her told him that he couldn't see "her".

Darnit! Now I'm getting pissed because I'm even more convinced they are going to use the 'looney-toon-you're-infected' excuse for a lot of the crap that is going on. Why would Michael just start freaking out and killing everyone in order to get his son back? (that bugged me about last season...plus Libby was kinda hot ) Why did Jack hear his father on the broken intercom after his had a dream/flashback about him? I could go on..tons of odd stuff has been happening of course. ...and Locke better be OK darnit...and back and as pissed off as ever...no more pansy Locke...at least we still have Sayid...he still has a pair.
