There's a few changes/updates/issues that need some explaining so here's a post of all the things:
Showing Support:
We'd like to start highlighting your blog, podcast, twitch channel, youtube channel, etc. on our home page. It’s just a small way for us to show support for all the effort you put into sharing your passion for gaming, however you may do that. Images need to be 600 x 250 (jpg or png). You can send us the image or url to the image at multiplaying@gmail.com along with the link of your site. *Images would be on our home page for a minimum of 1 week. We’d also like you to post in our “news” area here on the forums about it (because if people here know what the heck it is then they’ll be more likely to check it out) or send the blurb and we’ll post it for you when we start showing your banner.
We’d also like to invite people to record short (10 to 20 seconds) bumpers in a .wav format about your blog, podcast, twitch channel, youtube channel, etc. We’ll plug them in to our podcast. Anything longer will not be used. Keep it simple. You can check out old CoTCasts if you’d like some ideas or something like, “This is Zeli from Bind Point, a co-op gaming blog that you should totally check out, and you’re listening to Multiplaying!”
We’d also link you in our show notes.
Once we start scheduling guests again, you may want to consider being on the show. Details for guest scheduling can be found here: multiplayingforums.proboards.com/thread/12260
You can do one of those things, all of those things, none of those things… whatever you want.
* All images subject to Multiplaying approval. We reserve the right to deny any image at any time for any reason.
About the Podcast:
If you remained subscribed to our podcast for the 8 month hiatus, then you'll notice that you're now receiving new Multiplaying episodes.
If you did not, then you can resub using our podcast RSS feed or by listening on our homepage or youtube. Fair warning, our youtube'd podcasts are almost all audio only with a stagnant picture.
At this time, if you prefer iTunes, you'll have to wait.
Although they are getting our updates and connecting them to those who are still subscribed, we've been dropped from the iTunes store. That means, new or returning listeners cannot get the show through iTunes at this time. iTunes does not allow podcasts to be resubmitted. If we try, we get a "this podcast RSS feed has already been submitted" message and that's the end of that. The only way we can submit it to iTunes again is by having a new RSS feed url, which would mean renaming our podcast slightly which would break all or old links, history, and currently subscribed connections. I'm not ready to go that route at this time. We've contacted libsyn and they've contacted iTunes on our behalf. We don't have an estimation at this time but hopefully we'll get this resolved in the next day or so.
EDIT: UPDATE: We're back in iTunes! itunes.apple.com/us/podcast/multiplaying/id337544189
Orange you glad:
Yes, the site looks different. The logo is different. Don’t be scared. It’s still Multiplaying.
If you hate it, never fear, I’m sure we’ll get motivated to change the look again in a year or two.
