Hey, Abberant, Bluekae, Aruth, and I have been playing Summoner Wars on iOS/Android lately. It is a 2 person, head to head card battle game that has been around for several years as a board game, and about a year ago became an app game. It has a little bit of hand management/summoning like in Magic the Gathering, as well as a simplified movement/terrain system like a wargame. It is one of my all time favorite games, so I'm always up for a game. Here are some links to get you started. Feel free to ask me anything about it.

Tips that will make sense after you play a while (and probably lose a lot like I did): www.plaidhatgames.com/news/92

Thread with lots of opponents to play on the app: www.plaidhatgames.com/sum_forums/showthread.php?1694-Summoner-Wars-iOS-Roll-Call

The basic idea is you have a summoner, who is like a king in chess. They are your most powerful unit, but when they die, you lose. Then you have common units which aren't that strong, but they are cheap to bring out, and you have champions who are very tough, but cost a lot to bring out. You have to manage stockpiling magic (which you get by discarding cards from your hand or killing units on the battlefield), the cards is your hand, and the units on the field. You summon units, play events (like spells), then move, and then attack. Back and forth. If you like the idea of tabletop wargames, but don't have the time or patience, you might like this game.
