First off, there is one. Go to any bank teller and when you click on them, you'll get the option to check your bank, the guild bank or the guild store.
The guild bank is pretty standard. If you have stuff you don't want, put it in there for others. Once you put it in there, it's not yours. Anything you place in the bank, you should understand, is a donation to the guild. Members can use the item or officers/leader can sell the item in order to build guild funds. Obviously, don't take stuff and sell it for your personal pocket-change.
It seems like our usual problem with guild banks is in effect with House Stalwart. We have lots of donors and not very many takers. This is really a great problem to have, as it indicates we have a group that is concerned with helping each other. But you also need to let the guild help you. Those items are there to benefit you. It's part of why we joined together.
In particular, recipes for provision (cooking) items do not stack so they take up lots of space in the guild bank. If you haven't already, go check out the guild bank and see if there are any recipes there that you haven't yet learned. Feel free to take any that you need.
Currently, the guild is focusing on collecting items that are useful to crafting. Like, if you have no desire to weaponcraft or armorcraft but you have collected lots of iron, you can dump it in there for someone else to use. If you're leveling up a craft, those piles of supplies are there for you to use. It benefits the guild to have crafters that are skilled.
There are also people leveling up crafts that are leaving items (potions, enchantments, and whatnot) in the bank for people to use. Don't be shy. If you could use something, feel free to take it.
Some people are able to craft armor, weapons, etc. but are not necessarily placing them in the guild bank in order to save space. Ask in guild chat if anyone can make armor and usually you'll have some new stuff in no time.
The last thing I want to point out is that when you place items in the bank, it doesn't automatically stack with what's already there. Yesterday there were 4 partial stacks of crawlers which I withdrew, consolidated into 1 stack and then deposited again. This saves guild bank space. If you have time, and notice these multiple stacks in the guild bank, feel free to restack them. It really helps with guild bank maintenance.
