I was thinking nightblade, because I like the draining skills, but I don't care for the other skill trees. I tried a dragon knight as well, which lacks healing. Then I tried a Templar. I may go that way. Decent dps lines and the healing line (which I like to do). That would let me go back and forth being a tank/dps for solo and healer when needed. Sort of a paladin I guess.
I'm thinking 1h/sh for my main weapon and bow as 2ndary. Maybe level up some resto staff if I need to heal full time.
Has anyone looked into templars? What are the thoughts on them?

I've only played Templar in beta. I like them, but I think I might go sorcerer or night blade I know I want to dual wield and maybe have casting. Right now I'm not sure. I normally gravitate towards stealth classes

anyone can cast and dual wield, you know.
I'm going heavy armor, S/Sh, and bow mostly. But nice to be able to change up and group heal. I think the group heal line is more helpful than the self heals of Nightblade.

I'm liking the Templar heal line. Starts as self-heal but it goes to group heal fast and it's nice!

Heavy Armor spec'd Templar mana pool regen for heals can be a very slow after the last closed beta patch- I'm hoping they fix this before launch.

It's quite a big reduction in mana regeneration capabilities for Templars, hurting heavy armor Templars the worst. I'm hoping it gets resolved before launch!!

I'm sad that WoW made the healer be a cloth wearer, because no one will make a good old fashioned cleric anymore. Heavy armor, shield, and mace. That is how nature intended them to be.

I really enjoyed the Templar class dynamics. It'd be sad if my Templar had to wear more light armor than my Sorcerer or Nightblade to do decent heals for endgame... If they made a few abilities & heals stamina based or added a few more changes that help with mana regen and stamina it would go a long way for class diversity in healing and tanking in endgame content. The dev team for ESO seem to do a pretty good job of listening to feedback, hopefully it won't take as long as, say, the SWTOR devs to rebalance and/or fix class kerfluffles and debilitating nerfs. I want to be an Off-Tank/Tank healer in heavy armor too, Winin!!!

I always try to look at how they intend the class to be, and plan for that, rather than how things are right now. And TESO sounds like they actually use player feedback.
And, I must admit, I like playing the less seen classes. I see tons of threads on reddit about everything but Templars, and the few Templars are cloth wearing primary healers.
