I re-upped a while back, but have been playing on a pve server. When I played on the pvp server, it was too ganky for me. Kinda like having to level in the frontiers of DAOC.

sounds interesting. I will sign up a free trial tonight and take a trip. How are necros in this run? Or mages?
I think World PvP is only tolerable when you have a few peeps you play with. If your solo on a server.....well then it sucks lol. But if people are as friendly and helpful as you say...maybe.
At this point in EQ2 it's probably mostly vets and people with MMO exp. Most newb MMO'ers have learned WOW is the user friendly place to go.
I'm so sick of WoW My lock has been 67 for about 3 months and I just can't do it. I play for like 30min, enjoy that then get mad, frustrated, and bored then it's quits for a month. I doubt I will hit 70 by WAR time. I just don't have any want to play it. What little time for games I do have I play COD4 or mass effect. I want to play Bioshock but it's too gory and crazy to play around my kid lol.
If you guys really want to take a shot at this I'm on board. I need an MMO so bad I bought Hellgate lol.

Thrakus, I'm on the Lucan delere server with my trial chars. Look me up as 'Tavish' if you get on. Or post your chars name here. I've been playing pretty regularly in the evening, about 9:45pm EST - midnight, now that the WAR beta is closed down again. I hope /tells aren't disabled in the trial....it seems that talking over channels is disabled for trial accts. I guess they don't want peeps making spammers or something.
Winin, I've been exchanging emails today with Galendril about it. He said "If you're serious about playing EQ2, I could reactivate my account (I'd have to cancel my CoH account again -- I don't need to have three games open). I have a swashbuckler in the upper thirties (I think). But I don't mind starting over with a new character."
I was checking the station, and they have the basic game, all 4 expansions, and 3 adventure packs (whatever they are?) for $39.99. That seems like a decent deal....I think it was called their Rise of Kunark All-In-One pack.
I'm still mulling it over. I'll definitely decide by the time my trial ends (9-10 days?)
Also, I primarily plan on playing on PVE servers.

I enjoyed EQ2 the brief time I played it. The game has amazing graphics. The crafting is so involved though, I'm not sure I ever really figured out what to do. I came late to that game though, and I found it hard to get involved in the community, kinda like an outsider looking in. Maybe it was the server. I'm so bored though, it sounds tempting. I have pretty much stopped playing WoW yet again. It seems like I reup that game and am bored with it in about 3 weeks every time. You keep late hours, Aruth... no wonder we were never online at the same time in Beta!

I have the Station Pass, so technically I can go play it whenever. I have all the expansions except the Kunark one I think.
There are a bunch of old Trib folks in a guild on Befallen, one of the pve servers. Thats where my new characters are. The guild has folks like Lodach, Radgen, etc.
I think I have a necro, a mystic, and a coercer going there. All pre-20.

Hey I may be able to get my wife in on this lol.
She's a PVE fiend. I will have to do one char on PVP and one on PVE.
If this patch ever freaking loads lol.

We are on Antonius Bayle a role-playing server. That is Pikcolo, one of my sons, and I. The PvP servers are just too wild for me just as they were for EQ. I actually broke down and tried EQ2 to keep Pikcolo company. I really, really like the crafting in the game. The quests are pretty good too. The graphics for the humanoids are just not my style unless I turn the 'anime' alt character look on. Some of the animal type of characters look pretty good. I think the world looks gorgeous. Hopefully, ya'll will find one server to play on. I am not sure why it has been so hard for most message board communities to "hook" up that I belong(ed) to for the past few MMOs.

I have a level 20 monk on Antonia Bayle I believe. Unless I deleted him at some point.

My characters on EQ2 are on Anthonia Bayle too. However, I don't think I gonna resub to that game. I'm back for a little while on LotR. Its still a fun game. Will see how long it'll last me.

So.....how many people that are playing this are going to WAR beta? Lol, I have a feeling I would get into it and *poof, teammates all gone.
Oh well, gonna look into it and see if it's worth giving a shot for now.

well I think I'm gonna give it a shot anyways, watched some really awesome youtube videos. Damn that's a gorgeous game!
I miss my old EQ days.
Now I just gotta choose my class.
I loved old mages(conjurers now apparently) But I have an Iksar Monk that was really one of my favs. Mend FTW!
And then again I am a DPS whore so I need something that can ramp it up in melee to keep my bloodlust down. ;D
What's the monthly on this one?

Well I don't play until the kids are in bed, usually. Occasionally I might play on the weekends and let my 5 yr old watch, but only certain games.
I got to play around with the EQ2 tradeskills last night, and had a pretty good time. I don't have any eyebrows left from that forge, but I did make some groovy armor for my Berserker.
Well, I don't have an answer for that, unfortunately.
I believe its $14 a month.

I picked up the Rise of Kunark pack which includes the base game and every supplement/expansion to date for $39 and subscribed. Playing on Mistmoore server, if anyone is in the neighborhood and wants to stop by my bachelor pad in Qeynos.

Okay, I gotta say, I like how much this game has changed since I first tried it (close to release).
We like it so much the wife even got her own account, and my son plays too.
