I ran across this game kinda by accident. I was just going through my emails (hoping Id received my beta invite to WAR ) when I peeped out a email from Sony. I was a little turned off at first thinking it was just another EQ2 expansion, but since I was WOW'd out for the day I figured what the hell, and opened it. After I opened the email I was a little surprised and confused to see that Sony had made a card game similar to WOW's card game, but for EQ. Again I was turned off thinking that Sony was just copying WOW's game. After taking a second look I noticed that Sonys card game wasn't your ordinary card game, but a digital online version!?!!? Now my curiosity was perked, so i clicked the games link to take a closer look at what Sony has cooked up. well, to make a long story short, Legends of Norrath is fun and doesn't cost to a lot to play. Maybe $25 to start, that would include the starter set and maybe 5-6 booster packs. For those of you a little bored waiting around for you beta invites, or just logging into WOW so the day will go by, maybe you should checkout this link. It just might change you life ;D legendsofnorrath.station.sony.com/

Hmm, I recently re-upped my station pass to play some EQ classic and EQ 2 (and maybe dabble in SWG, Vanguard, and Pirates of the Burning Sea). I heard about the card game, but haven't investigated. I'll have to check it out.

I found a booster pack as a random drop while killing in EQ, so I'm downloading the software now. I'm "Zook" in LoN.

So far I'm still trying to learn the ins and outs of this TCG. All in all I'm still finding it a lot of fun. Saddest part is I'm still losing most of my matches against other players but what the hell, isn't the best part of any card game is building your deck ;D

I haven't played many CCGs. My friends all did Magic before I found it, and they were impossible to beat. So, toyed with it a little. Ditto for miniature games. I like the idea, and maybe online is better, so I can play people my skill level.
What is your in-game name? I think it has a friends list.

Wish I could read the info site here at work. Sounds kinda interesting. So whats the gist of it?
Tap Blackburrow for mana, summon some gnolls, and use their "You have ruined your own lands..." ability on your opponent?

I have only started the tutorial, but it looks basically like Magic. It looks like you have mana points instead of land, and cards are creatures, abilities, or buffs. Also you each draw a quest card at the beginning. They cause global effects.
So probably Magic with a little more complexity and Norrath themed cards.
Also, you can find booster packs as rare drops in-game. And booster packs may have rare loot cards that give you an in-game item. And finally, you can play the game from within EQ or EQ2.
Reminds me of the card game you use for diplomacy in Vanguard.

Im going by the in game name of Kidjello, so if you start up put me on your friends list. As for the gist of the game, to me it seem just like any other CG the hook is that its played online over 4 servers that Sony has provided. This means for anyone into these CG's instead of sitting alone at home wishing you could challenge others but cant cause no one in there right mind would spend the money and/or time to play a CG. So now your stuck alone at home with no living soul to play against. Fast foward to LoN which is online, now you have tons of players to challenge against at anytime of the day. This is what perked my interest the most, the simple fact that I can go head to head against anyone anytime I want

Since I signed up for EQ2, I now have access to this. Haven't tried it out yet, but probably will in the next day or two.
When I signed up, they gave me Veteran rewards for having had a Station account since 1999, so I think theres a bunch of LON related things in there too.
Oh yeah...bump from hell!

I still have an active account if you want to play sometime. I haven't played through all the tutorials yet, so I'm still a bit green.
