Vejuz and Panda and I are all planning to be 30+ in the next day or so, and we'd like to run Ascalon Catacombs sometime this week. None of us have ever been, and we all want to be noobs together, but we need two more people.
Vejuz and Panda both have classes that prevent them from playing before 9:30 eastern, except Friday when they could start earlier.
So are there two more people out there who plan to be high enough for AC sometime this week, and are up for a late evening attempt?
I think that because of the mechanics of GW2 that your profession doesn't matter...? So come one, come all! Get your AC tickets while they last!

I'm almost level 28. I could run it Wednesday night. I'm not sure about the rest of the week tho. I have a plane ticket to Mississippi on Thirsday but with the hurricane I might not be able to go. I might just call airline and see if they will refund my ticket because of all the cancelations

To clarify on my schedule a bit (I was too distracted dinging 30 to answer the GCHat questions):
Wednesdays are really the only days where 9:30 is "strict." Most other days, it has to do with kids. If we wanted to go an hour earlier at 8:30 (provided it wasn't a Wed), I'm sure I could work something like that out. 9:30 (or even 9:00) will always be easier, though

Tonight I would go but I doubt I could make it to 30 in time. Wednesday is last day I'll see a computer until next Tuesday. By then more people might be 30. Oh and no rush because the down leveling makes this awesome notated what level.

well, i checked the roster to see who we could coerce into being our fifth, and no one else is close enough for us to do this by tomorrow, which is scary's last day available this week. So i guess week 1 is too early for this. Maybe we'll give it another shot next week. Or potentially this weekend if some of our players get more time to catch up outside the work week.

I got clarification on AC today. It is never suggested to take 4 people no matter what level. It is the hardest dungeon in the game (coming from internal tester that's done them all). There are fat lewts at the end of the dungeon and completing the dungeon gives you 21,000 XP. So the bosses and mobs might give low XP but in the end after you have "fun", you get major loot and a fat chunk of XP.

What surprised me was how well we did with just 4 people. I don't think in any other game we would have been able to make that much progress with one less person.

The next dungeon at level 40 gives 20,000 XP at end. So it pays off to finish these. Stargrace gives great tips mmoquests.com/?p=5447

That was the most miserable experience I think I've ever had in an MMO, lol. That said, you guys are fun to do stuff with, so if we decide to go back (with 5) I'm game. I think I'm going to go with a different setup (weapons, skills, etc), and see how well that works. I rolled a Guardian to fill a support role, so I'm going to see if actually doing that (rather than trying for a DPS-y/tank-y role) makes a difference. So many of the Guardian skills are built around helping the party out, rather than whacking on bosses.
PS I'll also have my 30-point elite skill today, and it's 110% support.
