So for those of you who are getting one, what launch titles you looking forward to? (of the ones that we know) I know I'll grab Zelda but I'm looking for one other game (other than the sports that is packaged with it). I was really wanting Blitz: The League...but if it doesn't have online support how can I smash my long-distance friends into submission? Bah! There will be much more online support in the future but I'm a bit disappointed that I haven't heard of any for launch. Oh well... Then there is Red Steel...one positive is it has some mixed shooter-styled gameplay (looks like some is similar to House of the Dead and that genre while also being more like FPS at times) and I know Jen will dig that (three of her favorite things in entertainment are: zombies, shooting things and shooting zombies...not necessarily in that order). I'm just not sure on the length of the game (and a friend of mine may get it so I'll borrow it when he's done ). Anyone made a list yet?

Yea, although I'm not totally happy with the fee schedule they have set up...IIRC, it's $5 for a NES game, $8 for a SNES game and $10 for N64 games. Jen loves the older games and never really got into the controller from the N64 onward. I'm hoping she digs the Wii controller more with the less buttons/more motion detection point of view. She'll be playing megaman forever and ever... (oh and you can get Turbographix and Genesis games too...like Mutant League Football!!! )

So far I have Red Steel reserved. Sword action will be great, but bring on a lightsaber game! I will also be getting Zelda, like everyone else who gets the Wii. Madden also looks interesting with it's use of the controls. Excite Truck also looks like it has potential. Other than those I am most looking forward to after-launch games. Specifically, Super Smash Brothers Brawl (Bring on Solid Snake), Metroid Prime 3, and Super Mario Galaxy. Hopefully there will be some new info on preorders for the console soon. I really really don't want to wait 3 hours in the cold again like I did for the 360. It sounds like there will be a lot more consoles to go around this time though.

I'm too old to stand in line for a console launch!!! I sure hope I can pre-order one as well. I'm also getting Mario Galaxy...and Excite Truck looks sweet but I'm not sold on it yet...do love racing games though. You know, I really haven't played any of the Metroid games for the GC because my living area has been in disarray (I like to have a good spot to play the game or I'll wait to play it )...things will be different soon so I may start playing them to get caught up and ready for the third installment on the Wii.

They are very good. Very atmospheric and immersive. Only bummer on them is no online play. I have read a lot about Wii and it's online marketplace, but have they specifically said that games will be playable online?

There is some fighting game (a goofy one that I know little of) that will be...I was assuming since the whole online Wii network was free, they'd have some online games coming out soon. I sure hope so! (if that is what you meant...like competitive online play?)

Unfortunately, no, it isn't a joke. The 3 hours I waited is small compared to how long I heard about other people wasting. I used my Business Membership at Sam's Club so I could bypass other people in line, muhahahaha. And ya Wrasse, I sure hope you can do online play. I would assume so, since Nintendo finally went online with the DS last year.
