I know how you feel about Alts--and aren't you supposed to be asleep? I actually made an error above, confused the Witch Hunter with the Shadow Stalker thingie High Elf-- WHs have combo points like rogues in That Other MMO. It's the Shadow whatsises that have the stances. Still they both seem viable. Although the Squig Hunter is supposed to be the Destro White Lion, some of us are worried about his overall effectiveness.

I think SH is more like SW. Both are ranged/melee hybrids with squigs/stances that provide buffs for different fighting styles.

Aye, but of course the SW has no pet; the WL does. And the combo points on the Witch Hunter make it seem rather Rogue-ish: Accuse, Accuse, Accuse, Execute.

Shadow warrior is the archer elf, witch hunter is the human melee dps. They are the reflection of the Witch, which also has combo points that build up then get used on a devestating attack.
I think the parallel classes are mainly dependent on the base class mechanic, rather than (albeit flashy) details like the pets. Pets are essentially dots.
