As sad as it is to make this post, the time has come for Circle of Trust to end the WAR chapter. Many long time CoTers have stopped playing WAR and those of us remaining are not able to provide the supportive guild we all need. Those CoTers who wish to continue in WAR together are able to find a new home in Children of the New Sun: guild.floppyhat.com/Anyone who has been with CoT for 3 months may merge into CotNS with no initiation. Those newer to CoT will initiate into CotNS and I will gladly be your sponsor. They are in a good alliance and run regular events. I know this is very disappointing and perhaps surprising to some. The forums will still be here to keep in touch no matter what direction you choose. Those of you going to Vegas... we're still going!

I'm one of the bunch quitting WAR. My subscription came to an end yesterday and I had to really sit and think if I wanted to keep going. In the end, after talking with other guildies, I realized that i haven't been playing WAR for the game, but for the company I keep. I dont think there is anything that can be done to the game at this point to save it for me. I am sorry for our newer members, but I hope you can understand why we're quitting WAR. I know I'll still be using the forum for setting up game nights for various other games, and for genral chat. I found a home here and don't plan on leaving anytime soon.

I blame this all on Mythic It is a bummer, especially since we have some great new people, but when a game isn't fun for a majority of the guild, it is better to be proactive then to just let people twist in the wind. The next MMO that many of us want to try is likely still 2 years away. A lot of things can happen before then. What we can do now is just make sure we all stay in touch, play online games together when we can, and wait until the release of TOR comes to see what our options are.

I still play and enjoy the lower tier stuff, but life is still busy as always. I'll migrate over to CotNS. I've played with that crowd since DAOC and guilded with them in CoH. CoT and they fit well together, so it will be a good home.
I also plan to mix it up with some Game On Nights, so if you haven't visited that section of the forums, do so.
We have some plans to make the forums into more of a gaming friends site that isn't tied to a guild or game. We are halfway there anyway, so may as well go all the way. Stay tuned.
And I'd like to add that even though WAR didn't turn out to be the long term game we were hoping for, we made some great new friends and this group is stronger and more fun than ever. I look forward to playing games and chatting on the forums and voice chat with you guys and girls for a long time to come.

Looks like I'll be moving to CotNS, with sponsorship from Zeli. My life has freed up again, so I'll hop into the Game On forum, and get involved in some of the other games I've got (TF2 and Guild Wars mostly).
Thanks for the fun and casual comraderie guys. Hope to see you in CotNS.

I am heading over to give it a try. Zeli looks like you will be my sponsor as well once they let me in.

I really enjoyed the short time I had with the guild. While my schedule turned insane when Baltimore neared, I really missed those conversations in vent that we had and the few times we grouped. I would love to have many more and I absolutely do not want to lose touch with the people who generously took me in. Zel, Abb, Slurm, Maeve, Kaar, Odalus, and Pazz have been good to me whether I talked to you less or more.
After some contemplation, I've moved Grundagar over to CoTNS.
Regardless, my work with Warhammer Alliance keeps me involved in WAR, not to mention the fact that I still do enjoy the game. Those of you staying, my toons are a tell away, especially in the transfer over. For those of you who ever want to keep up with me, feel free to check out my permanently optimistic musings over at Overly Positive (http://overlypositive.com). Slurm has been a big supporter of my little site already, and I'd love more readership and comments.

I understand that some may not want to take this route, and that is fine. You'll be missed. If you ever change your mind, let us know and remember the WAR-tired CoTers are playing other things so you don't have to quit our group just because of this. WAR is just one game and we've never been a group to stop at the end of a game. For those going, I made a post here: guild.floppyhat.com/index.php in an attempt to introduce us. To see the forums you'll need to register and then click on the Magic Door to see the areas of the site. You must read through their Guild Policies, but you'll find them very similar to ours. I've been a part of CotNS in CoH and it's a fantastic guild. I'll be hanging out in CoT for a day or two to talk to people who may not check the forum but others can begin moving over. Those CoT who are less than 3 months old will need a sponsor. I'll sponsor who I can but we may need to spread that out a bit. And thanks everyone so far for being so great about this.

I hope everyone who is staying in WAR will give CotNS a try. They are a great group of people, very much like CoT. And you will get the added benefit of being part of the Guinevere alliance, one of the biggest and most active alliances on PT Order. Jay is a great guild leader and they are very casual, with no play requirements and recognize that real life takes priority.
I hope that all of our new members will stick around one way or another. The core group had really been dwindling in WAR recently and the timing just wasn't great. But all of our new people seem like such great folks, I hope you stay with us, if only on the boards. This decision is a reflection on WAR, not this guild. In fact, I know many people have stuck with WAR much longer than they would have otherwise if it wasn't for CoT and the great people in this guild.

First off, thank you for the kinds words - clearly you've all been drinking... again Secondly, I just wanted to echo some of the previous sentiments regarding your membership with CoT. All that is happening here is that the WAR chapter of CoT is ending - I'm comfident it will re-emerge with SWTOR or Champions, or some other game in the not too distant future, and until that happens - those of you still happy to play WAR can do so under a familiar banner. Something similar to this has happened in the past when both our guilds left Dark Age of Camelot. CotNS moved to City of Heroes, and CoT moved to World of Warcraft. However, a handful of CoT wanted to play CoH, and so for the duration of their time there - they joined CotNS. So there is a long history of involvement between our two guilds, and I hope that continues. I look forward to catching up with some of you again soon.
