It was to me. I got the CE. Disco will live forever! Or until an Airplane knocks the tower down.

What I really want is the soundtrack CD, but that doesn't come with the Steam version.

What I really want is the soundtrack CD, but that doesn't come with the Steam version. I don't think the 6" tall Asmodian action figure is available over Steam either As for the soundtrack, I've learned a thing or three in the last few days about "rolling your own"... send me a PM if this interests you I'm still figuring out what to do about getting the CE myself, may have to make some calls to a few local stores and see if any are getting copies of the "real" CE in on launch day. Have any of you ever cancelled a GameStop pre-order?

I cancel pre-orders every now and then. They never give me a hassle.
Ya, I figure I could get the CD somewhere else.....
And that statue doesn't interest me at all.

i tried to get the CE at gamestop and they were all sold out. They did say that there is a possibility of getting a couple extras, so i have my fingers crossed for that!

Just called Gamestop as well...sounds like they've stopped preorders for the CE at all stores from what the dude said.

I have no game stores nearby, so I ordered the Steam version. I'll have to hit you guys up for the CD.

I hate Steam.
It doesn't seem that you can change the location, so the only option I have is to buy European games on there for the same price in euro that they would be in dollars. Holy rip off.

Would buying the game over there force you to play on the Euro servers?

That sucks. But, if you buy through Steam, it links to your PlayNC account, and you can make a desktop shortcut which goes straight to PlayNC and never hits Steam. So you could make a new Steam account, buy it and install it, then never use that account again. Or buy via another source.
Or, I wonder if you could by with your US account and gift it to your regular account?

Or, I wonder if you could by with your US account and gift it to your regular account? Ever since Steam changed their policy to "all new games cost 50 dollars/pounds/euros across the board" there have been all kinds of organized and unorganized "gifting" rings on Steam. The typical arrangement is: Euro player sends US player some money thru PayPal, US player buys game on Steam (using PayPal funds) and gifts the game right back to Euro player. At some point Valve may try to crack down on this practice (by doing something draconian like forbidding out-of-country gifting) but I'm not hearing any word of that at the moment.

There must be some way to petition Steam to have an address change if you move from one country to another.
