I was assuming smuggler would be more field medic/combat medic style. Maybe like the friar in Camelot. A little bit of spot healing, but mostly offensive. I like support/jack of all trade classes.

I'm just interested in how the CC is going to work overall. Through cannon(and playing the KOTOR games) there really isn't much CC for the Light side users at all. Light side focuses on buffing and strengthening themselves and their allies, and Dark focuses on debuffing and controlling the fight. Technically the two should cancel each other out, but as anyone here knows, CC is king in any pvp situation.
Also, how are the non force sensitive assassins going to stand up against the Jedi/ Sith assassins? If you think about it for a sec(For all intents and purposes I'm going to call the opener from stealth "Perf"), say a non force sensitive perfs a force sensitive, in a "real fiction" setting the sensitive is just going to be like "oh hai" *force push* *force speed*, have a nice day.
Further, how fluid is the combat going to be. Say for example once again a Jedi force pulls a bounty hunter, what's stopping the bounty hunting from just using his flame thrower in the Jedi's face? (Scorpion's "GET OVER HERE" Bounty Hunter, "Gladly!")

You are forgetting about the Jedi Mind Trick.
This is not the post you are looking for. Move along.

Ultimately, it always came down to the Dark Side being flat out more powerful to avoid being injured in the first place. Closest I ever heard of "healing" was a Sith that got infected with poison/nano-bots/etc would summon the Dark Side to boil their blood, cleansing the infection.
Yes, but that was referring to your companions who have heal abilities. Also, The Light Side should rightly have more healers than the Dark Side, since in all forms and versions of the stories/movies/canon they only have basic healing methods. Even then, it is weaker than the Light Side's same basic heals.

True. I love me some cyborg suits. I hope I can do that at some point through the campaign. I wouldn't mind being half-mechanical.

I imagine that there will be lots of kolto around for medical kits. That way, everyone should be able to heal a bit without too much reliance on specific classes in a party.
I imagine the light side Force-sensitives would have mostly buffs, especially a reduced version of the Battle Meditation discipline. It shouldn't be too hard to have some crowd control effects on other classes. Stunning attacks like the smuggler is shown to have (ohhh, mah nuts...), maybe some other roots and snares. Looks like the Bounty Hunter, at least, has a leash or grapple pull, probably got a stun in there too. It wouldn't be too hard to find other tricks for classes to do to get some of those effects off-gas pellets, poison darts, grenades, strong language, etc.
What's that look? What are you doing now?
Silently judging you.

Yea, I think that short duration CC is awesome if given out fairly. I seem to remember the Sith Warrior and Inquisitor having some basic CC stuff. Nothing that lasts a great length of time, though.
