I'm still nervous sometimes doing these things...no idea why. I need to get crunk next time beforehand. Great job editing, Z!

yea I gotta lube up the ol' esophogus before next show lol these are so much fun. Just weird to listen to after you do it. Man I'm half as funny as I think I am, and since my wife already says I'm a cornball.....that's bad ;D You guys kill me. Maeve, you gotta speak up, just start talking and break on through all the noise lol. Wasn't as messy as I thought it would be with so many peeps. The round robin sounded nicer after edit lol. Just took a long time to get through. Good stuff Zeli, thanks for not sleeping at all.

Awesome! But you guys didn't get that I was joking about adding in a DKP sort of system to the PQs. I always thought those point systems were stupid. When I was in guilds that instituted those systems, I moved on to more casual guilds.
You know, making these podcasts is really fun. I look forward to getting together to BS about the game. Of course I don't have to do the editing part. Listening to them is fun too. Great job with the editing!

I think Winin just volunteered to be the next "on the spot" guildie.
ya, i knew you were joking, but it was a good way to bring up that whole point because I know alot of people are going to have that argument once it goes live and it was good to get out the reason why it does work as it is now.

I like having each round be a fresh start, so contribution + random roll is a good way to do it. That way I don't feel like I have to hang out there for hours to have a chance at loot. I could win in any round, even if I'm not the top dog.
But I'm casual. The point systems reward the hard core people and punish the casual (you have to spend lots of time before getting enough points). Let the randomness sort it out. If you do lots of PQ's, chances are you'll get more loot than the person who does just one. But gambling is fun. Look at the lottery. It is fun to try if you have a chance to win. With point systems, it becomes another grind to get points rather than a fun chance to roll on the goodies.

Maeve, you gotta speak up, just start talking and break on through all the noise lol. Hey, I was 30 minutes late. If I had known you guys had gone into such depth about your favorite careers, I would have had a better answer for you. Not just "me likes make things go boom!" Like Wrasse said, if I do another I will have a few adult beverages and you probably wouldn't be able to shut me up. Of course then I would probably just talk about boobs and tropical rain forests and such. Good job with editing that mess, Zeli!

I would just like to add to the cast that I love and am mainly a PVE player. The PVE is ok... better then Wow i would say no. But I will say being a mainly PVE player i really have gotten into the RVR stuff and it is definately the main focus of WAR but like stated in the cast there are so many options that you can do pretty much anything. I will certainly say i was ver skeptical about the open Warbands but i must say it is really a nice feature when you are doing PQs as well as the open RVR saves you alot of time running around trying to get a invite into a group in order to participate.

I love that you really have a good balance of stuff to do. If i only have a short time to play i can do PQ's or a Scenerio. It really allows the casual gamer to enjoy the game, instead of grinding for hours so that the two tanks in your group can both get the "Sword of eternal grinding". I'm already in love with this game and it hasnt even released yet. Mythic has done a great job of making a game that every gamer can have fun with. I did my first RvR the other day and it was AWESOME!!! ;D Needless to say i got my ass handed to me more than not, but i had fun!! "Fun dying?", you ask? YES!! The RvR system (For someone who didnt play DAOC) is amazing to me! Honestly i found it by accident. I saw this really cool cannon that i could click on. Once i did, i got the sight and started blasting these waves of Empire headed towards us. Eventually, i got the nerve to run down there and see WTH was going on. Thats where the ass-rape began for me. Enough of my crazy rant.... I LOVE WAR!!!

Raizir, I'm with you on that. I have always been more of a PVE player than a PvP player. I enjoy a good PVE story to follow. But I didn't like the end game raid, rinse and repeat of WoW at all. If I have to have a flow chart and diagram to play a game and to study before hand, it's not a game anymore it's work.
Going to a game that is focused on RvR was a bit of a question mark for me. What I have found is that it is fun. RvR is dynamic and changes from day to day in terms of fights and the challenge of the competitors. Most importantly, it is fun with the guild. Honestly, I was wondering how on earth I was going to keep playing this game once it released. With the constant wipes in beta and nobody to team up with on a regular basis, I was not having any fun at all. But now that most everyone is in and playing, and they have fixed some of the biggest problem careers, it is a blast.
So my point in this long winded post is this: if you love PVE or have never really experienced much PvP, don't be afraid to try. Stick with guild groups until you get your feet wet and I do think you will like it.
Oh, and Odalus, I freakin love those cannons! Having those interactive is actually fairly new to the game. Once upon a time, gate camping was a huge problem. Great way to fix that. And you actually get points for killing the enemy for your quests. I completely finished a kill enemy player quest that way. I actually look forward to a zerg at the camp now and am disappointed if the cannon is already manned.
Hmmm, in retrospect, I have wasted my time playing healers in games before. Me like make things go boom!

You guys are really making it sound like this game will be my next favorite MMO. Can't wait to try it out tomorrow, finally.
