Touching and classy as your subject line is for this topic, I thought it fitting to add his final tweet here:

Star Trek was there for me as a kid, every day after school at 4pm. I'd watch it on our little 10" black and white TV (complete with rabbit ears). Spock was my favorite character by far - I would act like a science officer and made tricorders and communicators out of cardboard, beamed myself to "alien planets" in the woods around my house, and I even learned to arch one eyebrow (the RIGHT one!). I was such a fucking dork. But it gave me a safe world to escape to, and those are such fond memories. Nimoy will be missed, and I'll never forget the impact he had on my childhood.

Late to the party on this one but if you missed it for those Sci-Fi fans that learned it was ok to be different by Watching Spock either with the original series / Re-run's or the movies, Wil Wheaton posted a blog as memory of Leonard Nimoy as a TNG cast member that never really got to meet/know him on a personal level but still as a Fan. wilwheaton.net/2015/02/remembering-leonard-nimoy/His last tweet really was poignant, and I hope to have the same grace when my final hours approach.
