Nice. Here in South Carolina, the Republicans don't even have to try. The last Governor, Sanford, got caught travelling to Argentina to bang his Soulmate(TM), on the taxpayers' dime no less. Also, she was homely. He refused to step down, and they didn't call to impeach him, and hired another republican. I mean, what else would they do? Oh, and are we meeting up on some server for this weekend's beta? Are we going to use a vent server? Has anyone taken a look at this?Meet the new boss, same as the old boss.

I'd much rather leave California to the Californians.

I have a friend at the naval base in Monterey Bay, going to the linguistics school there.
He says there's your fair share of crazies, but other than that he lovea it(cool story bro).

I have been out of the loop as far as this game goes. But it has caught my interest the past few days. Read a ton on it as I am taking care of my partner while he recuperates from tonsil surgery (popsicles and ice cream FTW!). Free time is a killer for me.
I pre-purchased this and still looking at classes. Anyone have a good one for an ex-mage/priest. (Almost always play healer classes as one of my mains in Dark Ages was The Healer from Midgard).
Wolfsbane/Defiant...check...
Thanks!

If you want a strong caster with decent abilities, the cleric's inquisitor/sentinel trees are phenomenal(inquis has a couple good DDs, whereas sent has lots of good instant DD/dot combos with an extremely powerful instant single target heal and a 2s spammable heal). Inqui/Cabby on the other hand is.much more mageish, cabby has almost all AoE attacks. All of them are pretty fun just be careful with the AoEs in rifts as people don't know how to tank most of the time

Will do! Have been reading up on both Mage and Clerics. Mages have my interest at this point, but I will generally play whatever, and Mage/Pyro looks good or Mage/Archon looks interesting as a PvP/weird PvE build as you take your opponents strength and use it against them...

The neat thing is that there are a lot cross-calling roles available. there are rogue souls that can tank, and at least one mage soul, the chloromancer, I believe, that can heal fairly effectively. You'll eventually open up 8 souls and 4 different roles (build slots that you can change at any time outside of combat), so it's very versatile. Apparently the DD cleric souls don't do as much damage as the mage or rogue ones, and I would assume they heal better than the healer souls from other callings.
Democracy is the name we give the people, whenever we need them.

Im just amazed at how versatile and different each player can be. I pre-ordered and been messing around in the beta weekend. It seems like a fun game. Will be neat once I start unlocking different builds, still at level 7 right now...

Well, I still haven't seen anyone in-game yet. I played a little on wolfsbane, then looked back on faeblight with my higher level character(free respecs!yay! that's 10 gold I won't have to spend!). I've got the vent up, in the old typefrag server, looks like it's still up. Ghost town, though... and now we've got maintenance to look at. Grr.
Well, i was hoping to meet up with some of you that are playing new characters, maybe get a little group dynamics. Guess I'll try some other classes out and whatnot.

I'm on faeblight with Winin level 10 rogue.
And damnit, I'm quite enjoying my bard/riftstalker. It reminds me a lot of my old EQ bard.

I'll mostly be on Dachartach, on Faeblight's Guardian side. Last I checked I was at level 25. I tried the defiant, and ultimately I like that one better, so I'll stick to the Guardians during beta so I don't get too bored of Defiant. I won't need too many alts, I guess, that's a good thing.
So far, I'm still enjoying it, but I'm not impressed with the crafting. It's not as involved as the system from EQ2 or FFXIV, so it's a lot easier to do, just find the materials and the recipes, and hit the button. The weapons and armor available aren't that much better than what you can get from quests and drops though. You can use items during the crafting process to ad other attributes to the items, which makes them more useful, but not worth the effort as far as I've seen. that's ok though, there're other things to do.
For example, I'm accruing a shit ton of planarite...
