hey all, im at work, which means i can't test out the following macro. soooo for all you that use macros in rift or can help with providing input as to whether the following would work or not, please do! my rogue build is saboteur/nightblade/ranger since ranger gives me a pet, i would like to set up my pet to receive aggro when detonating charges using the skill "incriminate". right now lol i'm micro-managing this... so i was wondering if the following would work in a single macro. Note: 3 conditions must be met before the macro is used: 1) your pet is made to be your "focus" target beforehand 2) before clicking the macro, your mob target is the active target 3) your target mob has at least one charge applied here's the macro i would like to use when the above conditions have been met: target @focustarget cast Incriminate target @lasttarget cast Detonate that's it... seems simple enough, but will it work? basically, i want to load up my target mob with charges, cast incriminate on my pet (lasts 6 seconds), then target that mob again and cast detonate. i'm doing this with mouse-clicks right now, and when there's multiple mobs, i'm "tabbing" through to find the mob with the charges gah!! here's a guide i found online that sorta helps: www.guildportal.com/Guild.aspx?GuildID=154679&TabID=1311920&ForumID=1879402&TopicID=9539260thx in advance, cheers, ezuri

You can't have macros cast twice. It will try to cast Incriminate, and if it can, it will, then it will end. If it can't cast Incriminate, it will continue and then cast detonate if possible.

ahhh ok - that makes sense. i guess i need to add another actionbar, reduce it to 2 slots (if possible), scale it to make the bar larger and place it right in the middle of my screen! then i can just load up the target mob with charges, press button 1 to incriminate my pet, then press button 2 to target the mob again and detonate! that works thx for the help.

How many points do you have in Ranger? At 8 points you get an ability that dumps all hate to your pet for the next 10s with no need to target the pet at all. 60s cooldown vs the 30s on Incriminate, though.
FWIW, that macro looks like it should work just fine, but you'd have to hit it twice in order to make the Detonate go off. I'd also add the "suppressmacrofailures" command to it so that it doesn't spam you saying you can't cast Incriminate while it's on CD.

i have exactly zero points in ranger the pet is mainly there as a distraction while i load up on charges and ready zee bombz! but that's good to know - might be making my 3rd rogue role with that hehe i had a chance to try my macro last night... yeah... supa dupa fail. i made the following 2 macros: first macro: target @focustarget cast Incriminate second macro: target @lasttarget cast Detonate for all those that may be able to help, please let me know what i'm doing wrong here! so i created the first macro and tried it. i first made my pet my focus target. when i pressed the macro button from my actionbar, it said something like "you must target something first!". NOT encouraging! so here are my notes on my trials & errors: - naming your pet doesn't seem to effect the macro in any way - if i manually target my pet and then press the macro, it casts incriminate - i tried this macro on a player standing next to the AH -> no effect - then i realized that the player must be in a party with me in order for me to cast incriminate on them -> that worked, but not the macro - i tried to test @lasttarget and i realized that i have NO idea how that works. i targeted the player, then targeted my pet and typed "/target @lasttarget"... and it targeted the NPC AH chick. wth?!? lol i've tried many other things and i just can't seem to get this to work... i would like to at least get macro one to work... any help? cheers, ezuri

Can your first one be something like
cast @focustarget Incriminate
and then
cast @lasttarget Detonate
