I don't really like reading through the main forums (so much whining) so I thought I would try here... rift.zam.com/en/stc.html?t=1zvRw.xx.EdIuoVc0oo.xdft0zkThis is what I am thinking for a level 50 mage healer. Warlock is pretty standard it seems for any mage build, increased focus and chance for instant cast is beast. Necro is there for the essence link (send in pet to constantly heal you) while the heal over time and spammable (somewhat) targeted heals. Chloro is the main meat of it. Need uber radiant spores to affect multiple enemies and all the tricks in it to constantly heal and debuff while keeping your tank (Synthesis target) at full life. Anything I am missing? I had 1 point left and threw it into Feign Death as I thought a wipe prevention would be better than Living Shell (Mana over time) but it can go either way I would think. Trying to squeeze another point out of Necro into Chloro... Comments/Questions? Thanks! Solv

I would love to respond, but I know zilch about Mages, and if I had a question, I'd be going to you for advice, lol.

The main problem with Chloro's is that there is no spammable heal and with the pet giving you life with each attack and you losing life while spam healing (if needed, otherwise just throw out life attacks) so I am trying to compensate for it. Full Chloro is really unneeded unless you are there just for support healing and not main healing in my experience.

After some testing...don't need the pet as you are constantly healing yourself with your Chloro abilities. So can go down to Soul Purge (Uber healing for you plus really good damage) in Necro while putting more in Chloro for more stable mana regen.

Is this supposed to be a solo build or a healer build? What you linked looks like a solo build with (imo) crap dps. If you're looking for a group healer, there's a reason that this is the standard chlorlock healer build. Frankly, you only need 23 points in chloro to be "full healer." The other 9 points are "nice to have" and get you up to the 32 point group power/mana reduction buff. 34 points in warlock gives you the +25% charge generation so you can keep your Empowered Veil going more, ~30% increase to Withering Vines damage as well as the DoT portion of VS and Ruin, plus a nice passive +20% damage (which equals 20% more healing at all times as well), and the "oh snap" 80% damage mitigation for if you pull aggro somehow. Then there's the nice END buff for the group and the silence to help keep casters from hurting your tank to boot. Of course, this also makes it so that the LFD tool won't recognize this build as a healer since there are more points in warlock than chloro. Much QQ on the forums about that. . . . .

The link has 33 points in Chloro but I have since altered it a lot to be honest. Also for tier 1 healers chloros are nice but for tier 2 it seems you need a cleric as a main healer (Chloro support is greatly appreciated too). The increase in charge generation is nice, but really for the chance to get in instant cast Nature's Touch is really what I look (uber healing) as your other castable heals are on timers. I just wanted a more reliable way to heal your tank if needed but it seems that the necro heals aren't the greatest but they are nice for pvp/solo. I've also found out that having more points in chloro is nice for Blight as a lot of mobs seem to heal and to slap on a 50% reduction in healing right before they heal is nice (or to get group members that know how to stop heals would be good too). Just tossing around ideas... I am now more toward the build that you linked by the way for group healing. Edit: This is my build now. I've never honestly used Empathic Bond but in a raid setting I could see it being a lot of good (huge mana regen) but mainly for 5 man I used and abused Living Shell. Also never really found a good spot for Wild Growth (I moved extra points into +healing%) but can always take points out of that and move as needed. Thanks for the replies!
